When working wood or automobiles cold drink & hot music set at 11 are mandatory, but a distraction when modeling. Good music pulls my mind to other times & places.
Wot, no Scrumpy and Western……what a let down :sad:I'm guessing everyone is waiting for me to say the "Wurzels"... ?!!
... But no, sorry to disappoint... Generally it's anything hard rock/punk stuff!!![]()
Zen !:smiling3::smiling3:Have you tried John Cage? 4'33 would be right up your street. :nerd:
Ah,the PROPER Def Leppard,(80's eraWow. I just saw this revived thread and think it's great!!! I used to listen to music at the table while building. I'm kinda old and classic rock from the 60's on up are my favorites. The problem was, I like to sing along and that didn't go too well. Dogs started barking, Neighbors complaining, but when the Polizei showed up at the door, thinking someone was being murdered, I had to stop.......
Sometimes, I have the telly on when I work. You don't have to watch the drivel as it's just background noise. If I am doing basic building, I may play a whole album or two. For detail work, I don't, as the urge to sing again is too overwhelming...The gamut runs from April Wine to Frank Zappa. Favs are Jethro Tull, The Who, ELP, Traffic, Led Zep, The James Gang and so on.
A true story.......In a military school, back in the 80's, another soldier asked me what I was listening to on my Walkman. I said, Def Leppard and he looked at me with a very strange face and asked, why would you listen to a cat that can't hear? I had to leave the room immediately...........
Prost

Ah,the PROPER Def Leppard,(80's era)..... before they forgot their roots!!! ..... "High an Dry",my favourite of those early albums....some cracking tracks on there! :smiling3:
Yep,the original one mateThe original "High 'n Dry" album, not the re-release a bit later where they had remixed it and took the edge off!!! "Pyromania" is also a killer album...
