ive been thinking of what I want to build next year and I've come up with a few that are top of my list

1/24 aircraft ssig , hurricane, stuka, harrier and time permitting typhoon

1/35 armour dio German

1/350 IJN Yamoto at sea

Operational squadron for BoB 75th anniversary 1/48 scale

1/700 Tirpitz dio

This should keep me busy :D

The Typhoon 1/24 (SSIG)

One 1/32 aircraft, maybe I will go for a Wingnut wings....

And I'm wishing to "jump" and start to build my own fantasy vehicles :)

Finish my Dio`s

1:35 Trumpeter br-52

1:35 Tamiya Steyr 1500

1:35 Miniart Valentine

1:35 Miniart L1500a & L1500s

1:35 Miniart Aec mk1 armoured car

Well that`s the plan anyway:rolleyes:

Build lost relationships which have suffered through lack of time selfishness and disregard.

Started this year. I had not seen my Best Man for decades. What a re-union. It was worth the wait. Amazing we had both changed so much physiacally.

So that is for me.

Model wise the Herrick Airfix set. Got the lot. Merlin finished what next the Platoon, two of them, the 2 Landrovers, the Westtland Lynx, the Jackal, the Coyote, the Warrior or just the two Quad Bikes.

That is exciting for the New Year. What order that depends on attitude. But then I may build the 1/48 Beaufighter sitting up there on the shelf making itself very prominent under my glare.

What ever I do I will enjoy, mostly, except for the frustration bits. But that is model making isn't it ?

Laurie

You have a building plan!!! Blimey I couldn't be that organised barely get through each day let alone plan a whole week.

No plans.....I just want to get there. Not being morbid, just practical.

Model making wise, I've not given it much thought really. What turns up in my nut will turn up when it's ready!

I just hope Mr. Osborne (or whoever) has to keep paying me for another year so I can buy something......

Yes for the first time I've got a plan three of my builds will run simultaneously with bits being done while one drys or cures :)

I'm still going through the kits I attempted to build when I was a kid! Bristol Blenheim and a Lancaster are next, both the new tool versions. I remember both being a right PIA when I was a kid, don't think I actually succeeded in finishing the Blenheim due to the cockpit.

Oh, and a 1/24 Spitfire due to the SIG

Oh, and I really want to do the Airfix Dornier Do17z being released tomorrow

i did have a plan but its already gone a bit astray lol

mostly 1/35 armour, a few 1/72 planes..............but ive had a few things delivered that i want to have a crack at....big floaty boaty thing and a steamy roundy thing :D

I have the. 1/24 sig.

The any thing on rails gb

The four engine gb

The soviet gb

Thats just for starters.

Peter t

Well I have the 1/24 sig. in for that. Twelve months.... Loads of time.

Other than that its down to pot luck and finding something for the GB calender...

I hope that I get to build a bit more the coming year than I have this year...

I posted a similar link of my own and this is what I came up with for me.....

As part of the SIG 1:24th build P51 Mustang

Spitfire

Hurricane

V-22 Osprey, this is a full on build with, working props, interior lights and cockpit lit up, along with ground crew and vehicles.

Iron Man Igor,

Iron Man Heart Breaker, maybe an LED version again.

Revell's 1:32 Phantom Final Test Flight

and finally

Taniya's 1:32 P51D Mustang

I nee to add in the 4 engine build, have a nice 1:48th FW200 Condor to do for this :)

Adrian

Mine is going to be a dio of a 1 72 karl morter being unloaded from its carriages with a munition pz.iv on a flatbed behind and a br 52 loco up front .

I'm planning to finish more than two in a year, which is my current rate and will take at least 6 years just to clear the stash - and the chances are that I will add to it in 6 years so best get cracking!

I have the Eduard Da Nang F4D and they just released a Mig21PF with North Vietnamese markings which is the same era and would make a nice joint piece I thought.

There again I'll be breaking my pound jar sometime in the year and buying an airbrush, compressor and box so may save them for that, so maybe the 1/72 hurri and FW190, then the M1A1 I got for my birthday.

Of course, all this could be thrown into turmoil if I get some really fabulous kit for Christmas - perhaps the wife, with seriously zero prompting, will miraculously buy me the 1/24 Typhoon - well I can hope. Not sure I would want to paint a 1/24 with a brush though.

Hi, I'm new to painting and I'm wanting to learning how to airbrush, i've looked around at a good starter kit and I've found these on eBay and online from a site called bartsharp.co.uk they do some chinese made airbrushes called Veda? and some more expensive ones called Iwata can you help guide me in the right direction of a good starter kit? thanks.

Go for Iwata, Badger, Pasche in my opinion they will perform well and as long as you look after them they will last you years, as for next year I intend to finish my Meng AMX 30B2, Leopard C2 Mexas, Leopard 1A5DK and another T80 after that whatever Russian tank in my stash that calls to me.

Don't doubt!!! Go for a Iwata, is a very good airbrush!!

I suggest you to take a look on the Scale Models Shop (the banner on the top of this site).

Ah! And welcome to the forum :)

Like Laurie I must meet up with my best man again.Havent seen him for 14 years. And also my oldest friend Ian ,Who lives in West Wales.Havent met up since my wedding in 2000.His wife (another old friend )Died around this time last year from cancer.I was upset that I couldn't get to her funeral .Id just broken an arm and elbow in a fall at work.We said we'd met up and another year has passed.Must do it before it's too late.On the modelling front I will be doing the 1/24 sig (Spitfire mk5),4 engined bomber (1/48 B24D),And I think there's a aircraft at sea type sig?.Got a few to choose from for that one (probably Special Hobby 1/48 Walrus).
