Well done to most of you and thanks for playing my little game. Yes, the Peacemaker - good name !!

The model is 68.6cm long, with a wing span of 97.3cm - well, I wanted something big..........................

You lucky sod Colin, been fancying one of these for a while, will watch with great interest. Derek

p.s. some good ref. photos for you Convair B-36 Peacemaker - Propeller engined Aircraft - Britmodeller.com

If my memory serves me correctly the Monogram Peacemaker was first released in the late seventies there was a full build review in Scale Models at that time,I guess quite rightly it was claimed to be the largest plastic kit.I believe that title is now held by the Trumpeter 1/35 Leopard German railway gun. I've only seen the Leopard kit in the box all I can say is that it's enormous, while the photos I've seen of the completed model back that up.

Malcolm

Thought it was lol, seen the box on one of those Japanese You Tube videos. Looked like it had been there for some time because it was covered in dust, I didn't understand him but he was so excited lol.

Have fun, John

Nice beast colin! Although i dont think it still holds the title, theres been some huge kits these last few years, not to mention the soon to be released 1/32 scale Airbus a 380 from one of the far eastern makers ,i think it includes a P.E. fret with 853 seat belts on it too ,:emo:

853 seat belts - that's stupid. I'm not good with repitition. Six propellers might test my patience.

Not quite Malcolm.

The one at the front is the 1/35 Leopold (this is the Dragon version). The one at the back is the 1/35 Dora by Soar Art models.

Not only a big gun Vaughan.

Look at that "heap" of unmade models on the floor & on the shelves.

Dave you are going to have to put in some overtime to complete those.

Laurie

Alas Laurie, I don't think I got that much time left - especially as that's less than a quarter of my stash!

So this begs the question - is 1/35 scale Dora the biggest plastic model kit around. Note 'plastic' I know there's bigger remote things around.

And well done to all for keeping it clean when Dave showed us his big......................oops nearly...........

I think the Revell 1/48 B-1B Lancer held the record for the largest aircraft kit, don't know if anything has changed. Derek
