Build thread is here - many thanks to Geoffers for the most appropriate build for the 250th Anniversary and across July 4th.

Better late than never for the completed pics. An absolutely top-notch kit; it goes together like a charm with a good fit and nice decals. I would happily make this again.

I have to admit, it is 'incomplete' compared to previous shots - the antenna was knocked off and then swallowed by the carpet monster when I was moving it to the photo booth - pretty sure I must have a spare in the spares though.

Nice result Neil. I was trying to work out what was off with the outline of your P-47. I hope you find a replacement antenna for it.

Super work Neil, it looks great 👍

I prefer the “razor back” Thunderbolt, I think it looks more workman like 🤔

Geoff.

Sorry, everyone, very rude of me! I am grateful for the kind comments.

Great job neil , another aircraft that I really like and will no doubt end up in my stash at some point !

I can definitely see me getting this again as a 1/48 - change a few things for the better - prime the tail and nose in white, for example.

Already done thanks. We've probably all got an antenna or two spare somewhere.

It does Geoff. There are a few WW2 aircraft that just look exactly like they should, and this one, and the Hellcat, just look like big, bad-ass heavyweight boxers who will take a beating and still beat the crap out their opponent.
