Hi everyone,
I'm a retired 59 year bloke who has just got back into modelling after a 47 year break but I can still clearly remember slinging together my last model (Airfix Ark Royal) and painting it with a large brush and Humbrol Enamels and no thoughts of seam lines, PE, aftermarket parts, drips, runs or other issues. I'm just about to apply decals to my 1st model (Airfix Spitfire Vb) and although I'm absolutely loving the experience, it's been quite stressful realising how much there is to making a nice model nowadays (and how long it takes!). I've made loads of mistakes (including a rather massive one on the wheel orientation ????) but I'm sort of happy with how it looks and am looking forward to learning from all you Pros in the forum. Hoping my decaling experience goes well ????. Once finished and I work out where/how to post a picture I'll stick it up

Hi and welcome mate, relative newbie here myself, but they seem a friendly enough bunch, not too scary at all.
Feel free to ask questions, I still do, (lots)!

Welcome to the forum D ( it’ll have to do until we get yo know your name) cheers tony

Welcome mate! No 'Pro's' here - only 'Enthusiastic Amateurs' ... ((in the words of an ancient Rugby song ' an enthusiastic amateur is worse than any pro ... !)

Hi Dejaypea, welcome! If you want any guidance or help, someone will usually offer some answers or advice if you ask for it. Friendly place here.

We used to have a local singer named DJ Dave...Hi Dave, welcome. Noticed you looked into one of my dios but unfortunately the new platform of the site had miniaturised the images but I have since inserted the larger images on page three if you want to see it up close.

Cheers,
Richard aka Wabble

Welcome!! Please feel free to ask away with any questions. We all had to start somewhere.

Hi Richard, yes I did try and get a bigger view but for some reason my system still only shows thumbnails and not the full sized piccies. Still looked great though when I zoomed in, I'm guessing that dioramas of that quality come when the kits available are not such a challenge anymore?

I just did a repost of new larger images on page 3 of the same post. You don't need to enlarge them but can be enlarged even bigger. Postings pre January will have had their images fixed as thumbnails.
