Well it's finally happened I've been promoted. No more in the garden room with temperatures varying from 0c in the winter to 40c in the summer. My youngest daughter moved out last week and as a result her bedroom became vacant. So I have moved up there lock stock and barrel. It's still a work in progress and I will be sharing the room with my wife she's into dress making, but that's not a problem as she will have her on table to put her sewing machine on. I've had to make a few concessions like insulating the compressor, it's now sat on some thick foam, plus the purchase of a spray booth( I don't think the wife would be too pleased with a fine film of paint on her dress making)it's not an expensive one as cash is a bit tight I it bought on eBay for £75 but I think it will do the job.

Lucky you Vaughan I have to share the front room

Looks like a nice set up.As I agreed to an extension being built on the living room Ive been promoted to the dining room table.Which is great because I can feel the benifit of the wood burner I spent a fortune on having installed instead of freezing in the shed during the winter.Still do my spraying in the shed though.

Nice one V. Just remember to dust off and clean up all the time. Also don't forget to put the exhaust pipe from the extractor out the window... Remember to turn off the compressor when you are not using it...... The list is endless. ;-)

I do none of the above, except the extractor bit that is, and surprise surprise--- I got the room to my self.

nice Vaughan, a good set up as well, just remember the mat or rug under the table to catch any paint spills, and your so lucky no carpet to spend hours looking for some think

Im the same as Dave have the dinning room table,

Nice set up Vaughan and some nice builds there too. Like you I am one of the lucky ones who gets a room to work in within the house. If I didn't I don't think I would bother doing any builds as I would be to lazy to walk outside and having to lock it all up :)

Very nice Vaughan which I know for my little room gives many hours of happiness.

You luck lucky.................................................. !

Nice set up! I've sold 3 of my bikes so there's now room in the workshop for a decent work area although it will probably be filled with gardening stuff :(

Nice work station and some great models to admire and inspire you I'm stuck in the loft for the foreseeable future and access to the dinning table 1/3 of it

Vaughn: Your spraybooth looks very like mine. I use the fishtail end of the hose shoved in the partly open window (like the leaflet says). But it looks like you have a brick wall behind your booth. How do you exhaust it?

I take it your daughter's not planning on coming home then.... ;) Great set-up, and as John mentioned, a very nice collection of models. Do you keep your stash in a separate room?

Vaughan how do you use the dummy?
I wondered when someone would notice it, it belongs to my two year old grandson don't ask me how it got there but maybe he's been doing a bit of modelling with out me knowing;)

Mike I think your right there, she's the last one to leave so it's nice to be able to use the room for something useful as a pose to another spare bedroom the stash is under the stairs that leads to the loft. Steve I'm not sure what I'm going to do as far as venting the spray booth. It's not been used yet so will have to work that one out the window is on the opposite wall.

Nice one. I don't even have a corner in a shed, all my stuff is packed away and I have to get everything out and set it all up each time I want to do some work on a model:(
