Hi my name is Siobhan, Peter's wife, I'm sorry to inform you that Peter suffered a stroke Friday morning, he is in hospital recovering, he has had what is known as a Ischemic stroke, is speeches very slurred but is getting better slowly his face is returning to its normal shape, he still can't move his left arm hand or fingers, as for reading and writing we're still not sure, he has balance issues when trying to stand but it's still very early days.
He is on blood clotting injections called Thrombosis, he has also had 5 or 6 scans over the weekend and is seeing a neurologist this afternoon where we hope we will learn more.
His best mate Andy which some of you have met is up there at the minute keeping in company until I can get back.
Will keep you informed with his progress and hopefully he will take over with up dates.
I hope you don't mind me posting this and that it is in the right place.
Siobhan.

Siobhan, thank you so much for informing us of Pete's condition.

I'm so sorry to read of him having had a stroke.

It's good to read his best mate is there with him too. Apart from yourself and family, what better tonic than to have your best friend at your side.

Please send him my very best good wishes for a speedy recovery.

....and please, if you can, keep us all informed of his progress.

All the best to you and Peter.

Ron

Siobhan, thank you for sparing the time to tell us.
Like the others have said I hope all goes well and he makes a full recovery.
I had the pleasure this year of meeting Pete and Andy this year at St Ives.
Please give him my best wishes.

Thank you all, I'm back at the hospital and Andy still on guard reading him the paper, I read and showed Peter your messages and he gave a big thumbs up to them which is a good sign at the brain is still functioning.
I'm sorry I don't know anyone on here though Peter shows me pictures of all the models. The first man Ron mentioned it's good to have your best mate there, there more like brothers they've known each other for 40 + years served in the army together, work together and both families have been on holiday together, done countless battlefield tours he probably knows Peter better than I do.
Will certainly keep you informed with any further developments.
Thank you all so much
Siobhan.

Sorry to hear this news Siobhan, please pass on my best to Pete.

Cheers,

Bob

Hello Siobhan,
Many thanks for letting us all know about Pete and his idleitis. I warned him to lay off the carrot juice, it would do him harm. Did you mention anything like decorating or gardening to him?
In all seriousness we wish him a speedy recovery and back to doing what he likes best, and the modelling of course. Yvonne and myself are sorry to see him like this, but from what you have said it appears he is heading in the right direction. And please tell Andy a well done and not to get the bed pan mixed up with the bed bath.... And to you, who seem to be forgotten in times like this, as Yvonne was when I did my crash dive, keep your chin up and even if you need some wierd strangers to talk to, just put fingers to key board and we will listen, you may not get any sense, but we will listen.
All regards to you both, and I hope for a speedy recovery.
Mike and Yvonne C.

Hi Siobhan,

I truly wish you and Peter all the best in this trying time. I do hope Peter makes a speedy and full recovery so he can get back to what he loves to do. I echo Mike's words above and if you need a break, just drop a message here and we will help any way we can. Stay strong and think positive...

Best wishes from Germany
Allen
