Hello,

I did a brief search so apologies if this has been asked and answered previously.

Has anyone had success selling, or maybe just donating old magazines? I did try selling on ebay a while ago but had no interest.
I have full sets of Airfix Modellers World from 2015 onwards which are just taking up room so wondering if anyone has successfully sold or donated similar items in the past?

Hi Neil. Short answer is no. I got rid of a great many a few years ago. I managed to find someone interested in my old railway mags, and gave them away. All the rest ended up as landfill as I couldn’t even give them away.

Few years back I had several of the very old Airfix mags, eg: the red tops from 1960's, including issue 1, (June 1960) plus an issue 1 of the newer mag (Sept 1988), plus a few annuals, etc. Looked into selling them, but no interest, think I gave them to a charity shop when we moved here (about three and a bit years ago). Maybe a model club may want them?

I tried selling some a tea years back and never had a sniff 😔

Give it a go if you want you never know you’re luck but don’t make any plans to retire on the proceeds.

Geoff.

Count yourself lucky if you can get someone to take them away for nothing.

I’ve found a large plastic box, put them in that and hidden them under a table - because that solves the problem 😀 now if only I didn’t have a new one every month… I really ought to go digital when I renew the subscription.
