Scale Model Shop

Pacific Carrier/Aircraft chat thread.

Don’t think I’ve posted my victim yet….
Here it is……a very big box for a single engined 1/48 aircraft……

I left the chair in to give scale…..
I have some paint masks on order….don’t want to manually mask that glasshouse……
It’s been on the shelf for a good few years, so I was very pleased when I opened the box and found these…..

Can’t hurt can they…..it’s going to be the most complex aircraft I’ve built so far, wingfold and all……
I like that Box Art and look at those goodies nice.

Not long now, time to check your paints and any AM bling you need.

Great idea I like it.

Ignition wires for the rockets......just had a look over the instructions, as I've already stated, "Looks fun."
Might not go with the rocket load out then ;) …….not sure it would be appropriate with folded wings (well probably one folded) anyway……got a book on them somewhere so I’ll look through it to see what’s what…

Gentle folk I shall sit and watch with interest.
As long as I don't have to get wet !

It’s big, but not overly so, a fourteen inch wingspan, hence folding one so it fits in the cabinet……..mind you, the one at Yeovilton is pretty impressive…..dwarfs everything around it.

There was one on the tables at the last show I was at, even at 1/48 it's big.

Another change of plan, Tamiya Corsair falls together a bit quickly so opted for a meatier kit.

Looks very nice :) ...
Andrew got me into these "ProfiPACK " kits a short while ago, only have two in the stash.. but they do look excellent value. ;)

Schoolboy error alert.....
Whilst checking I had everything for my Dauntless I discovered that I've neglected to get a canopy mask set. :(
My question is...... The only ones that I can find are for the Hasegawa kit,do you think they'll be ok for my Revell one?

Maybe it's time to learn how to do your own masks.........
I'm sure if you ask you'll get more options than in a box of Quality Street.
