Prince Philip has passed

A very sad loss to the nation, and most of all to our Queen.

Fair winds and following seas

RIP HR Prince Phillip. Recently watched The Crown series...must have been difficult being the consort nevertheless duty done.

Richard.

Just my opinion obviously,but........
I think this is a key moment for England,(I would, and should, be able to say...... the UK!!!.....,however,many ,many people are hell bent on breaking up the union),I just hope Queenie can survive the passing of her Life long Rock......... uncertain times sure lie ahead!
"Thank you Phil" for all of your humour(,which i particularly enjoyed over the years),and dedication over the years,
A spot on ,no nonsense,guy.... we need MORE of those types in this messed up,confused, and basically WRONG society!! :dizzy:
R.I.P. The Duke Of Edinburgh....... you absolute STAR Sir:cool:

Such a sad day for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth,
Whether you liked HRH or not, you can't take it away from him that he has served not only the Queen, but also this country without pause or question for the whole of his life... How many other people can say that they've done that ?

Rest easy Sir,
Your mission is done..

Not a total shock given his recent medical history. But still a very sad day for the UK. No doubt some anti-monarchists will be a little happier. I for one though am a total royalist and was proud to serve my Queen and country for 17 years.

RIP Sir. Keep them ship shape and fair winds to you in the after life.

My former Colonel in Chief, I had the honour to meet him on our return from the Gulf War in 1991. A very open man when surrounded by the military.

Sad news indeed. A Great loss for the nation but a greater loss for his Wife, children, grandchildren and the thousands of lives he has influenced.
Rest in Peace Sir.

very sad news indeed ,your poor queen stay strong without her right hand ,a great lost to the UK,and the rest who he
had helped over the years, will be sadly missed
woke up the the news on the ABC hear this morning at 3am to the sad news

I have always since a small boy just loved the Royal Family through & through. Watched as a youngster the Queen & Dukes Marriage & the Queen's Cornation.
To me they are the heart of our society.

I do not have problem if people do not follow my views.

What cracked me up are the tributes which have come in. Reading them was very emotional not only from those leaders in the world but the ordinary people in the British Isles & the world.

Not forgotten that one third of the world's people are members of the Commonwealth. Prince Phillip had a remarkable input into keeping these people together.

He also put his life on line for his adopted country be coming more British than British. He was a much needed man & a great loss.

Very sad in deed but he has left a lovely caring family.

I’m no royalist but the man did his duty and left the world better than he found it. What more could we ask. Love the Spanish royal family telegram though, more heartfelt than most.

Just add that he terrified me in his later years. I watched him in the carriage & horse competion going through water up banks.

Absolute determination on his face. Scary. But a great memory.

Lauri

He made me laugh as well....he had a nice touch with people.
