Hi all

Cheers Joe, small problem with the boobage area but nothing that cant be sorted

So Ive added a few more bits of decoration to her and also made an arrow to go with several others that will be in a carrier.

as you can see I still havnt sorted her front out yet and the fletchings need to be trimmed, but its getting there. Ill make her sword next and then the cloak

Now that you have added the decoration, the "boobage" area looks a lot better....if you know what I mean.

A real Moody, rudy Boudy,

What I admire most is the fact that you have a set eye on what you want ,you have the skill and determination to construct the model it self. You are then able to add infinite detail that just enhances the model. And then you also have the skills to do a first class paint job.

A real pleasure to watch a crafty man at work.

Looking forward to the finish and then looking forward to the next one.

Brilliant .

Would this by any chance be heading for Euromilitaire in a few weeks ?

Joe yep still plugging away ;)

Harry, many thanks for the kind comments, i would think this might be ready for Euro next year ;) , with so much to paint and still a horse to do, it wont be ready for this year, i was hoping to have it ready for Telford but even then its doubtful.

Well I could be going to both so I will keep an eye out just in case.

I would love to see it in the flesh or should that be the resin ,plastic, wood and milliput.

I think even if not finished it would create a crowd.

Thread owner
Cheers Harry, im sure it will be at some show sooner or later although the only crowd I normally draw is for a laugh :(

So a couple of more things done today, first the cloak, always a tricky thing mainly because of the size, although I have made them before in sections, I did this one as one piece, you also need to get the figure in the correct position so that it drapes properly

Also made her sword. a bit smaller than the drivers as shes a lady

The next step is the hair, this is a major part for this figure as its the one thing that has been noted by ancient scribes.

Onward and upward, The hair, i decided to make the hair from plastic, mainly because i need it to be removable, so i fashioned a slab pf plastic spru into a rectangle, roughly as long as the finished hair will be and wide enough to go round the head

I then warmed this in boiling water so that it was maliable, shaped it around the head and used the pyrogravure to scribe out the hair detail

Looks a bit strange at the moment,

Then added a band from milliput and the top part

The good thing about this is you diont have to wait for it to go hard, the bad thing is it stinks and you have to wear a mask

This will still nead tidying up and possibly thinning out.

all for now

Excellent work Paul.

As Ian says, the extra detailing does take away from the promenant area, I think you're right to file a little away though.

How did you detail the chain on the amulet ? ... That's very effective I must say.

*edit*

Seems you posted the latest as I wrote the above.

I'll add that the hair is very natural looking, I like the effect of it being flowing, are you adding any braiding?

Erm. WOW?

Dont know what to say really. That looks great. I'm just glad its not me that is going to have to paint it!!!

Colin. the chain was a piece of milliput put onto the figure, i then made holes in it and then trimmed the outside, if that makes sense, there will be a plait on the right side,

Cheers Ian the paintings the one thing i really look forward to

I knew i had to wait a little more progress to comment.

Now all I can say is "Amazing!"

I'm still looking at her chest, probably because I've seen her in shirt, but when complete (perhaps you can play a little with colors) no one should notice.

Francesco

Thread owner
Francesco, many thanks and stop looking at her chest you will go blind ;)

Ok here is the lady herself more or less finished, as you can see i have flattened the chest area down, so its not so pointy, the only thing now is the hand and shield, Ive shot myself in the foot a bit as the cloak by her left arm is right where i need to put the shield strap, no forward thinking there :( , so ill make those adjustments later

So the only sculpting i have left to do is, her left hand, both arms for the driver and another horse..................................not a lot then :) . Im now going to move on and do a bit of painting, there is an awful lot to paint here so i might as well get started, and its been so long i might have forgot how to do it :(
