I wouldn’t mind but it is a smallish but not tiny piece of undercarriage that was painted white. The carpet is blue, on top of laminate. There is seemingly no where for this piece to have vanished to, ergo, the carper monster strikes again.

I hate fashioning bits because they never look right.

Neil, I'm sure i won't be the only one to share your pain. And the part will probably be given up by the monster shortly after you have glued on your sub-standard home made part........

Or you find it stuck to the cat the following day.......happened to me lol

I always keep a little but bright torch handy...go all CSI...get low and from an angle so it casts a shadow

Need to keep an eye on that carpet monster lol

Winter is coming and I tend to lose pieces to my big hairy jumper during that time of year.

Had this whilst building the Spitfire, dropped one of the 'undercarriage down' marker pegs that rise out of the wings, (these are about 6mm long and 1mm wide)
Searched absolutely everywhere for it, no joy,
So I fashioned a new one from scrap spru,
Then found the original one superglued to the top of my slipper three days later..

No cat any more, and the dog is afraid of the air compressor - but I have one of those headlamps - no idea why, I don’t think I’ve ever used it . Seemed like a good idea at the time I guess. I’ll be crawling with headlamp at the weekend!

This was a stupid idea but tried feeding it with dropped left over plastic sprues... didn't work of course, the monster is quite selective and strikes when you least expect it.

Cheers,
Wabble

You need to put a saucer of milk out and solemnly ask the house Pixies to help find the missing part.

It always works for me, honest 🤪🤪

Geoff.
