Finally got this one finished. Started it in January 2022 after getting it as a Christmas present from my daughter. I struggled a bit, not having built a floaty thing for about 45 years or more and if it hadn't been a present I'm sure it wouldn't be done now and may even have ended up in the bin. Main paints were an AK US Navy set that were ok. Vehicles were painted in Vallejo colours.

Here are the pics. Please don't look too closely. :nerd:

That looks excellent Nick. There is a lot of detail for 1/144.
Thanks Jim.
Beautifully executed. Wish they offered one in 1/87.
Now that would be a fair size in your scale Paul - this 1/144 is around 45cm long!
Have to say it's beautifully painted and deserves

Congratulations Nick, what's your daughter think ?
Most kind of you John. I've sent some pictures to her for now, and we'll be getting a visit at the end of Oct when I dare say they will be under the engineer's scrutiny... her husband is responsible for the new Blackpool Spitfires.
Nick,
Very nicely done and an unusual subject.
Much appreciated Scottie.

Yep...

Thanks all.

Well Nick I think you made a good job of her.
If it was 1/72....
...I would need a bigger table... again...nope

Well done Nick, just by looking at it I want to have one as well.

Cheers,
Wabble.
