An almost trouble free build just joining the wheel fairings together other than that one that I have always wanted to build and I am pleased with the result. Hi Peter
That is a great model of an iconic aircraft.
Jim

I've always had a liking for these planes, can't explain why really.... There's just something about them ;)
Lovely job you've made of it Peter, looks excellent :)
Andy

Same as Andy, ever since I saw these in the 1980 Matchbox catalog I thought the Lysander just has a strange look that I like, and your model is looking pretty good :)

Very nice, tidy build Peter.
I always wonder how these cob aircraft flew at all, let alone manage to take off and land in a very short distance. Usually a field in N. France....

Ron

Peter, a very nice model of a fascinating even if pretty ugly :rolling: aircraft. I love the copper painted band on the engine cowling.

Andrea

Peter,
That is a cracking build mate. Do you know or can anyone enlighten me as to why British radial engines had a copper finish to the front of the engine cowl.

That is a little belter Peter. A very under represented aircraft.

Well in fact it is steel and is the exhaust collection ring. The copper colour is due to the heat affecting the steel.

LLLLLLLLLLLLooking good... well done SIR and thank you for sharing it with us, it's quite appreciated !
