Ron's Miniart Factory Ruin

Thread owner
Thanks Guys ! The irony here us, this side will hardly be seen at all, its front-facing unless I come up with another premise idea for the base. Still a lot of fun to build and I could always put a mirrored tile behind it in my showcase

Lol, hi Dave, yep here I was a couple days ago vaguely berating Miniarts stuff to John (is it "Mr." , or "Sir Race" , isn't he some sort of Royalty around here? Sorry, I don't know much about y'all"s hierarchy) Then next thing I know I pick their building kit to try.. sigh.

JUST seen this:thinking: COR JR as Royalty HAHA :rolling: :smiling::smiling:now ive heard it all well'r all have to start bowin an scrapein our heads when he comes on
haha just whatch out for his matches an get matron to give him his meds lol

Thank You Monica, I'm happy you like the steel, you're the first to notice that feature ! Yayy ! All those tiny rivets weten't all for naught ! Lol :thumb2: :smiling::smiling:

Hi Ron
This has come on a lot and it is looking great. The damage is very realistic. As others have said it will be a great backdrop.

I believe the construction phase is nearing the end, will be starting the base soon. I still need to add the two doors, and I have some thin microscope slides that I can use as broken glass debris from the shattered windows, once the painting is done. Otherwise, I'm itching to move on from here. I hope you all like, and any observations or comments are greatly desired if I have overlooked anything, Please.

One detail that I would love to include would be damaged flood light fixtures over each door. Does anybody here have any suggestions for afternarket examples ? Otherwise I may try scratchbuilding some.

Ron, I like the dust encrusted brick walls from nearby artillery explosions which many seem to miss and the amount of debris on the steps. :thumb2:

Cheers,
Richard

If they're damaged...scratch build it.

Thanks Richard, it was indeed a messy build lol. I did rummage my spares box and found 2 Miniart reflectors that I can damage with a Dremel then scratch the rest, so good there.

Excellent damage/rubble but the ironwork steps/railings really set it apart. Well done.

That looks really good. I like things with a used look about them, and this building has certainly seen some use. Even if it was artillery practice.
