“Schwimming” around a bit

Some further updates on the camouflage painting however I am in a bit of a quandary regarding the color of the collars… Should they be deep green? Or remain as camouflage?
Most patterns of SS smock were collarless and thus the collar, complete with badges, shows above the smock!

Some officers had uniform jackets made from Italian camo. & smocks were of several designs. The hooded ones were usually reversible w/white or mouse on the inside. Almost anything goes, kinda like armor camo.

Don't think you've lost any of the skill Joe, those figures are brilliant.

Hi Joe, apologise for replying late. I was wondering what I had forgotten and it hit me. You probably have referenced it already but here's a shot I got from my DDay book that explains both the smock and camouflaged uniform. Rank and insignia would appear to be from the under shirt collar and range from dark green to field grey depending on what was worn underneath.

Great choice of figures and the painting is coming on well. I can't help with your query, sorry.
