Well, although retired I got a call out of the blue a few weeks back to say I was the recipient of an award due to my actions on a particular night near the end of my service.

Well I attended said awards ceremony and shockingly my colleague an I won the overall award which now means I'm off to meet the Prime Minister at the National awards..and then Downing Street.

I'm still a bit numb to be honest!
