Ive just heard the eccles cake delivery drivers are talking of striking, something about cutbacks on the number of currants , Quick im off to get some before the panic starts, i hear the shelves are already stripped bare in the west midlands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like quite a turn out. Hope we i can remember some faces from the Telford Show year before last. Had to cancel last year at the last minute.

Well as you know im steering towards boats on my next build. I was talking to the guys at Cosford about future model air shows and event dates. I brought a model boat mag today and found that there is a show this month, it is the National Model Boat show at Coalvile in Leicestershire, its between Ashby and Leicester. and ill be giving it a go i think, the date is the 21st and 22nd of this month. If anyone is interested in going and need more details, let me know.

Richard, is there actually an admission fee? I gave a load of leaflets out and cant recall seeing one listed?

Admission fee was charged last year so would have thought so. Think they did mention it in club business but yet to be decided, normally no more than the other clubs of a few quid.

Sunday Oct 14th Newark expo model show

Just a quick heads up about the Lincoln and newark model club Expo . This is a great event held at the racecourse at Southwell ,Notts. Admission and car parking is free (well it was the last 3 years) and there are traders , club stands , an open to anyone competition and a bar/cafe . Its all held in the function rooms under the grandstand , ive been the last few years and its excellent . Ill be there so if anyone else is going then let me know and we can meet up for a coffee (or beer if youre lucky enough to not be driving)and a chinwag. I might even enter something in the comp ! Hi ian, the competition is open to anybody and you just turn up on the day , pay a small fee to enter the comp (I think its about £1 per model , to cover the costs of the prizes I expect) and wait for the results later. Hope to see you there , cheers tony

so its not long to scale model world at telford, who is going,i will be there on the saturday floating around the ipms wirral table as well as having a good mooch around as i have never been before.
