Si B’s 1/35 Zvezda T34-76 Mod 1943 Uralmash

Right Si can see the reason for removing the rear sections. Just gets better.
Have you a dio in the pipe line for this ?

Nice etch work Si and an engine too! Only one way to find out if it fits.
Cheers Graeme,
More etch work to come yet!
Really hoping I can get that engine in....worst thing is this was meant to be a quick no frill build.....but hey ho:smiling5:

Morning Mr R,
I’m hoping my plan to fit this engine will work, if not I’m flexible !
No plans for a dio though.....yet !

Should have scratch built the engine mate. Lot more fun lol

Looks a cracking kit. Looking forward to seeing it all weathered up

That's the same unit that comes in the Miniart T34 and derivatives interior kits. I've built it for my SU122 kit. Nicely detailed but needs a bit of care in construction. It also needs a fair bit of wiring added to do it justice.

Ooh I needed a diversion from ships for a bit and this looks like a smashing build to watch Si. Great start and choice of extra parts. Must someday try Voyager PE as it looks good.
Have three Tamiya kits with the same lower bodies in mothball. Hope to get inspiration to get them moving from this but won't be near as good. Finding a seat just behind the front row...looks like a full house.

Cheers,
Richard

Can't see a reason that it won't fit Si. Crack on mate, thing we have Bob ready to convert !:smiling3::smiling3::smiling3:

Sorry for bailing out on full scratchy build mate ;) Have a look at the detail on this engine, I couldn’t of even got close to it!

A bit of an update from the factory floor. There has been further hacking up of bits and we now have an inspection hatch ...

Andrew
Plenty more to do yet Andrew....that was only the first 5 steps out of 20 something :surprised:

Andrew the engine looks awesome, is the pipework quite fiddly.
Hi Kevin, I wouldn’t say the pipe work was particularly fiddly. there is more to do though.

Love the wire work on the engine Si.
Going to be the dogs.
Cheers mate, its Turning into quite an enjoyable project. The research into the T34 is interesting too....:nerd:

Thats outstanding Si. A real piece of art. You must be really pleased with that. All heading in the right direction mate

Good to see they're now providing wire for detailing. It wasn't included in my Su122 kit. I guess because they assume in the tank kit, the engine won't be seen but yours is marketed as a stand-alone engine kit?

Hi Michael,
I was surprised to see the wire to be honest. I suppose you could model it as just the engine/transmission if you wanted to.
There is a picture of the box at the top of this page.
