Thank you all for the great support for this GB.
You may join in at any time.
Your Model can be any Scale and any Subject. Plastic, Resin, Wood and Alloy is welcome.
The kit (by special agreement by the moderators) can be started but not over 50% done . It can be Half scratch Half kit or all Scratch or all Kit.
The main thing is to have FUN and build what YOU want to build for Simon’s Memory.
You can make your build thread already now so you are ready for the start, the 1st of November but remember no building until the start date.

Thanks Lee for taking this very worthwhile GB on. I saw that one of Simon's last posts was in the Latest Acquistions thread. He had bought a few kits, which he will now sadly never build, one of which was this...

I have managed to get hold of one so that will be my entry. It's coming from Ukraine but should be here in time for the start.

Jim. Thank You.Thanks for taking the time to be apart of the GB. I’m sure he would approve of your choice. If it doesn’t get here in time I think you will be safe

Picked mine.

Simon had helped me with other armoured cars in the past, so pewter will have to be used .

John.

Hi Lee,
I have a couple of candidates in mind but yet to decide. Please add me to the list and once I’ve firmed up my choice I’ll let you know
cheers

Si thanks for joining in and I just added you to the list

Hi Lee,

In memory of Simon, I will be building a totally new F-108 cable reel trailer for the V2 Rocket. I've binned the old one and will be using the following,

IMG_2181.JPG

I'll only be using the trailer without the sides as a base, the rest will be scratched from Evergreen. It should end up looking like this,

John. Very nice and the use of Pewter what a wonderful tribute.

Allen. I like that trailer can’t wait to see you transform it. Very nice

Lee a wonderful idea and one that has provided a very clear picture of the respect Simon had.
I will look forwards to seeing these builds.

Well I think this is a great idea, and one I can’t miss out on. So I’m going to join in with this. I’m going to try and replicate the work Simon did on his Mini.

Ian. Thanks I feel Honored to host this and thanks for accepting it.

Ian (papa 695) I just added you to the list I remember his Mini build I like that Bug never seen that one before thanks for joining.

Thanks for taking this on Lee. Don't worry, I reckon because of it's nature, it will run itself.

Here's mine.
No plastic kit. As Simon loved to add 'Scratched Bits', I thought it a nice idea to completely scratch build something in his memory.

As to what it will be, I have absolutely no idea.
I reckon I will just have to wait for some inspiration, which can sometimes come from some strange directions........

Add me to the list Lee. Simon was more of an Armour bloke, I tend to build things with wings. Right, lets see where this takes me.

Ron. I was thinking that yesterday evening that it would basically run by it’s self being most of you have been in a group build. Very interesting what your going to come up with after viewing that photo.

Colin. Glad to have you and I just added you to the list. Yes I don’t recall him building a “Wingy” but remember it’s what YOU want to build.

I have to join this GB. Don't know what it will be yet but I'll think of something.

Well thank you, but I think, in a way, I should go Simon's route with a little bit of heavy metal.

I'm in.
It's taken a while but I've decided I'm going to finish my first stalled build from this forum, the second 95th Rifleman from my 'Bought at Cosford for a Fiver' thread from last year. I met Simon there and I think it's a fitting connection.
This is where I got to
Vignette.jpg
there WILL be pewter!

I’ll be going for this. Simon built an incredible Tamiya version a few months ago, so I’ll be studying his efforts as I go through trying (And likely failing) to include some of his modifications.

I'll join in when I've finished the Skyraider. Not sure what to build yet though.
Pete
