Simon T Memorial GB: Nov-Feb 2020. Chat thread

Bit of a Leopard fanatic

Nice kit Rich, got the Flakpanzer Gepard in the stash, similar chassis/running gear just a different turret.
Builds into a fairly reasonable tank tho.:thumb2:

Paul.

Indeed Paul.In Verlinden way volume 2 he does a great Gepard on a road with trees.Nostalgia abounds.

I got this cheap off e.bay.Bit of a Leopard fanatic as Bob is to Stugs,John for Russisn and pyrotechics hehe.Think i might do a Simon and try and throw some Eduard etch at this and Resin.Aim to do an Australian version with some stuff my friend got me in the 90s!!.Yep had the sets that long!!!.WARNING im not great with etch and there could be much foul language so ear defenders are mandatory.
Pip pip onk onk peeps.

Richard. Nice choice as you might know I’m a big fan of old Tamiya kits.

Been thinking what i could do to join in this one lee, me not having any tanks in the stash ( or knowing enough about them to do some scratching on one) . Ive decided on an aircraft but with a good slice of chopping/ scratching simon style . Its going to be a ‘cut n shut ‘ with a Zvezda Il2 Sturmovik kit and the engine from an old kit I was throwing out. All will become clear when i post the thread . Cheers tony

Racey beat me to the drop ,so its in the post only clue ill give till it arrives is its leggo scale yep propper dark side stuff 1/35.

Tony. Nothing wrong with a Wingy. Sounds like a good spin on it.

David. Be careful of the 1/35 dark side you might get sucked in. I really like 1/35 scale a lot but I’m getting limited on room

Would anybody be opposed if John could finish this by the start date of November 1 and put it in the photo album dedicated to Simons memory I think it would be like Simon watching us poatng our finished build pictures.

Guys I appreciate your enthusiasm. He is now ready for paint and the tank is primed. I'll start on it now and see how long it takes.
