Simon's Sikorsky CH53 GS/G Revell 1/48

Take it easy Simon, I pray you will have a complete healing and get back to normal soon. Rick H.

Sorry to hear that simon , but glad that its slowly improving , hope the recovery carries on and youre back to full health soon . Take your time and concentrate on getting better , dont worry about the build , I havent even started mine yet !

Crikey, that’s a bit rough. Take care Simon, and follow doctors orders. The build is far less important than your health. Hope it improves very soon :thumb2:

WOW, What awful news that is Simon!!
Terrible that it happened in the first place of course, but on the plus side,at least a full recovery is on the cards :)
Must be so frustrating for you... All the best mate,
Andy

All the best simon

So sorry to hear about your stroke Simon, but very happy that you appear to be experiencing improving vision.
Unfortunately I understand what you are experiencing as I have Fuchs disease in my left eye, which blurs the vision.
I do hope your recovery progresses well.

Hi everyone not mutch of an up date but i have stuck a few bit together and hopefully iwill join the fuselage this weekend trimmed and stuck the resin together it looks great, but to be fair the kit intakes were just as good and probably would have needed less work but i bought them so im going to use them, the exhausts do look good and these were not covered by the kit so happy with these few pictures dont hold your breath it nothing stunning

On a personal note thank you all for your well wishes my eyes seem to be getting better and vision is much clearer still missing a lot of peripheral mostly blurred but its widening fingers crossed it. Returns completely. i did buy a pair of yellow tinted glasses and these have helped with the flashing light & sensitivity, well a part from looking like a twxx. I asked my wife if i looked like Bono no she said more like Ali G….

Just read this and it's shocking to suddenly have a stroke and going blind. Glad you're mending and vision is slowly improving. Take it easy and don't strain with small parts until you're well.
So far helo looks good.

Cheers,
Richard

Just read your post Simon, crikey sounds like you had a rough time :sad-face:

Glad you are slowly improving and hope you carry on getting better.

The model looks cracking by the way :thumb2:

Hi All thank you for your kind words and support, not much to report peripheral is still very blurred feels like you have something in your eye like sleep dust and i keep rubbing them to clear it to no avail.
Anyway for 1 reason or another not managed to get much done but I have managed to bond the fuselage not the easiest to do either but has gone together quite well belly has a bit of a seem but i will sort this out later.

Cont.. the exhaust outlet resin parts look quite good, the air intake ducts just didn't fit and to be fair the kit ones look better!!
I still have the rotor resin kit to look at but i might skip this as well just now due to a lack of interest on my part mainly due to the small parts and i suspect the fear of having to cut away the gear box cover to allow room for the gearbox on the resin assembly and i have not allowed any support structure for it but that might change see how i get on
Ihave the stroke clinic tomorrow, and Wednesday cardiovascular consultant so my mind is not quite in the build but to be fair i feel quite good just a bit lethargic.
Simon

It’s coming together nicely now Simon :thumb2:

It looks a big bird, I imagine it will take up a fair bit of room once the rotors are in place.

Good luck with your various appointments.

Geoff.
