Hi Guys, here's some photos of the recent GB from my local club society on the celebrations of Hari Merdeka(Independence day). Basically we display complete and wip builds for the year with a Malaysian theme. Our independence occurred on the 31st of August 1957 but ironically we celebrate it twice as the leaving of Singapore and unification of two more states Sabah and Sarawak happened on the 16th of September 1963 and it is known as Hari Malaysia...shows that we are fond of holidays. So yesterday it gave us the opportunity to get together.

This particular Herc wing joint is not glued. The Zvesda kit is designed that way with no seamline visible... more next.

And saving the best for last...one member entered in his list the latest Malaysian ship being built...the scandal riddled LCS. We found a base and took off the ship and displayed it.

Thanks glad to share. Favorite builds are our airforce jets past and present. Practically no ships although we're surrounded by ocean on both sides of the peninsular.

Thanks too, Richard!!! Looks like everyone had a super time and have built some fantastic models. You are a lucky son-of-a-gun to have nice shows and displays in your neck of the woods and a club too. In my neck of the woods, we have about Nada...Next July there will be a show about 45 minutes from Bamberg. All the others are 3 to 5 hours' drive to get to.

Nice to have you here. These are all new stuff and members have been kindly asked to participate their displays in any coming events supporting our armed forces. We've been invited before and the members have contributed their time and kits. Best I remember was for the National Museum years ago.
