I am so sorry for you both Chris. I know exactly how you feel. It is a real sense of bereavement to lose a close furry friend.
We lost our old Calico girl Polly on Mother’s Day. She had lived with us for half her life. I still miss her every day, because she was the most loving cat and had such unusual quirks of behaviour.
It is never easy, but time does dull the pain a little. After our old boy left us eighteen months ago we adopted a bright young tabby queen that needed a home. She carries on some of the quirky behaviour and that brightens every day.

Chris and Jen I’m sorry for your loss I know the pain is unbearable right now because I’ve been there too. We loss Felix about 10 years ago and I still think about him. I never liked cats till this stray arrived on the farm and he acted like a dog more that a cat that I fell in love with him. He was so loving and well mannered never seen a cat like him. When he got killed I buried him in the woods at the edge of my field and where I park my farm equipment. I always think of him when I’m up there. 5 months later we recused a very small Kitten on one Cold December night he filled the void but could never be like Felix. We’ve had him now for 10 years he’s fat and lazy now and I promised him he would never feel the cold again he’s a inside cat. I hope You and Jen heal soon you both are in my prayers. Here’s a pic of Spencer he loves sleeping underneath the Christmas tree. Hang in there my friend 96B6E559-D49B-4B34-ABBB-F9C6BA65DD8B.jpeg

So sorry to read of your loss Chris and Jen. I do know how you are both feeling. Chin up as best you can.

We are probably about to loose our dog in the next few days. She is deteriorating quickly. We'll try and get her into our vets on Tuesday.

She was a rescue dog and has been with us for 11 yrs. She was 3 when we acquired her.
We have had 5 dogs in our time, all rescue. Sadly this one will be our last...... (probably, might be :rolling:)

Take care.
Ron

Sorry to hear that Snowball has passed, Chris. I hope you and Jen are okay. It's very sad that a four legged furball that has been part of your lives is gone. Just think that its now tossing his toymouse in kitty heaven and wonder whose coffee cup it will land in.

Richard.
