I have the very sad news to say that AlanG or Al sadly died on the 14th of July following a accident

I had a email from Rachel his wife a few minutes ago. This is very hard to do as I had regular email chats with Al.

Upset is not the word.

That is sad news indeed, my condolences to his family:disappointed2:

Totally sad news indeed. Please send my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family, Bob...

What a shock!
I only had a 'chat' with him a short time ago.

Awful news.
Send my condolences to his family and thanks for letting us know, Bob. That must have been tough for you.....

Such sad news and such a shock. My thoughts are with his family. Thank you Bob for letting us know.

Oh my God..... I had many exchanges with him during my time here and came to regard him as friend.....I only sent him a PM yesterday.

Without going into unnecessary detail, do you know what happened?

Please pass on my condolences to his family.

Andrew

Hi Ron, very true. We had regular chats over a few yrs always putting world and modelling to rights. Huge shock and so tragic.

What a tragedy I have no words. My deepest condolences to his wife and family.

Shocking news. But thanks for letting us know. RIP Alan.

Admittedly I knew very little about Alan but it’s always sad to loose one of our fellow modelling brothers :sad-face:

Rest in peace Al…

Oh, wow, that sucks. It’s the kind of news that makes you realise you hadn’t seen him on in a while, but that this is the reason is a bit of a shock

Did he ride a motorbike? I know (from searching the forum) that he was considering buying a 125 cc one some years ago, and used to own some in the past, but I can’t find if he actually owned one now. The reason I ask is because, trying to find out what happened, the main accident I can find in Scotland for 14 July 2024 is one involving a Yamaha Tracer, whose 52-year-old rider died — which sounds like it could be our Alan
Hello Jakko. I'll be straight with you, your post was reported. Many are in shock and saddened to read about Alan. So it's probably not a good idea to speculate on how this sad event occurred.

On a personal note, I have a lost a good friend. The chances of us ever meeting were properly zero. Me being in Cardiff and Al way up north in Inverness.

He sent me a lovely message after mum passed, that was the measure of the man.

RIP Al I for one will miss him and a lot.
