A mix of scales & subjects!

I wonder what is the market for the 1/35 Bedford QL tanker? There are hardly any aircraft at that scale-except the Bronco Horsa glider......

I already have the IBG 20mm MkIIi AA version and it's a nice kit.

From what little I've read - and in willing to accept I may be wrong - the Bofors version with the full turret never saw service in NWE. Apparently, and I stress apparently, the version that did was basically a standard 40mm bofors simply added to the hull with its normal shield and not a full turret.

Wait, are you saying that doesn’t need fuel? ;)

IMHO the market is probably military vehicle modellers, rather than aircraft modellers wanting to build a diorama with a tanker.

Is that even a complete glider? I know Bronco do the tail and wings. I thought I saw a Dakota a few years ago but that may have been wishful thinking.

they do sell the two halves separately but I've got the complete one

I can only think of one 1/35 aircraft that may be relevant to a RAF tanker & that is the Bronco Piper Cub!
Dave
I think we've had this conversation before, sorry :rolling:

I've a 1/35 Academy MH-60 Pave Hawk in the stash. I suspect that might be a little to modern as well as the other side of the ocean though.

Could always use a Bell 47?
Mark it up with UK markings

I thought this was a paper concept, but was surprised to read that two prototypes were actually built........
Dave

“Four scheme and decals” provided — that makes me think they’re marketing this as a “what if” model rather than as the prototype. Unless one or both of those were tested in markings not just of the UK, but Canada, New Zealand and Australia as well, which kind of seems unlikely …?

It's a pity none of the 'drivers' are actually driving!

Probably a fact that staff officers drivers spend more time waiting than driving.........plus if they made them driving they would probably won't fit what you want them to.......
