On the TAKOM Facebook page, 'new items coming soon'

Like the Sea Dart & Sea Wolf launchers. And what must be a first - an anchor in 1/16!

I'll certainly be interested in the sea wolf and sea dart set... typical ex matelot!

I wondered about the anchor, but at least Takom has got more creativity than that!

The anchor is clearly aimed at the Japanese market, which will probably eat it up: the picture says “Battleship Yamato”.

On the Meng Facebook page - a 1/9 resin figure to go with their BMW motorbike..................

On the Copper State Models Facebook page - their new project due September..........................

I reckon the rigging on that would be the modelling equivalent of the Rubiks' cube - definitely not for the faint hearted!

Lee,

Dave

Lee,
I don't look at modelling news, I just use Facebook - I visit most of the makers pages, whilst having my breakfast! - although several of the largest manufacturers simply don't bother updating their pages - totally bewildering, when its essentially free advertising! If you have a page, why not keep it up to date? DOH

Why advertise when you're well established?!
Let word of mouth do the advertising!
Business promoting is weird... I'd be bragging and showing off my product and kicking the backside out of doing it!

On the Takom Facebok page - this seems to be Takom acting as a distributor for T.Rex Studios
takom pz.i tracks.jpg
3D printed? The Pz.I tracks are tiny, and anything which makes assembly easier is welcome. I guess the crunch will be the price. It would be unfortunate for a set of tracks to cost far more than the model they are fitted to ( like Fruils ).
Dave

“Completed within 2 hours” — we’ll be the judge of that :smiling3:
I find this interesting, it’s the future! Cost will certainly be a factor, but that will get cheaper with time. I would assume these are resin prints so there shouldn’t be any layer issues.
3D printing should virtually eliminate the clean up, so that’ll save some time. The holes should always be correct size as well......still be a pain putting in the pins though.....and not sure how they are glued up, or even if they are.

From ICM - Boxart for their June Releases...............
belgians.jpgfirebee.jpgfiretruck.jpgmarder.jpg
Quite like the Marder, but not a fan of the ICM vinyl tracks...............

From MiniArt - 'new kit coming soon'
miniart nva t-55 01.jpg
Rather confusing - I thought NVA meant North Vietnamese Army, but all the colour schemes are for East Germany ( DDR )
miniart nva t-55 02.jpg
Unless NVA tanks had East German markings, I think a mistake has crept in somewhere!
