Now I'm VERY tempted by that !!This one is only about 2.5 ft. (770+ mm) long. in 1-87 scale......if you like working with resin kits, they are in your neighborhood Jakko.![]()

I don’t know at all, but I would strongly suspect a reboxed Dragon kit, as Das Werk has a history of that.On the Das Werk Facebook page, a new release
Dragon model reboxed?
I did a Revell one a few years ago Jakko,"It looked like a Sub" is about the best I could say about it..... VERY old kit with rubbish detail,i remember being very disappointed at the time.....maybe there are more recent releases now?!I’ve seen them at shows, and though not this particular one, their models look good if you’re into 1:87 — which I’m not :smiling3: I think that if I were to want to build a German submarine, I would probably go for the Revell one in 1:72.
Now that would be a huge amount of resin to pour………the dio would be about two metres deep……There goes my plan to make a diorama of it being depth-charged by a Flower-class corvette, then :smiling3:
Looks like the Type 45 Destroyer radar golf ball, so either that or something based on the design. On the Takom Facebook page - a Teaser ( Takom offer - first 3 correct answers get a free model )
Modern Frigate/destroyer is as close as I can guess :rolling:

I built one early this year. Didn't think it was that bad at all.I did a Revell one a few years ago Jakko,"It looked like a Sub" is about the best I could say about it..... VERY old kit with rubbish detail,i remember being very disappointed at the time.....maybe there are more recent releases now?!
Go for it, you can still find the corvette in 1/72, you can do a three layer dio...A torpedo bomber targeting the sub that torpedoed the corvette...There goes my plan to make a diorama of it being depth-charged by a Flower-class corvette, then :smiling3:
Did you do the "cut away" version Ian?.... The one I did was, thought it very "childlike" on the interior details.I built one early this year. Didn't think it was that bad at all.

I actually had the idea when I was helping man a stand at a model convention, held in a typical convention hall with ceilings anywhere between 5 and 10 m high. We were joking about dioramas, and I came up with the idea of a Matchbox (now Revell) corvette and a Revell submarine, with something like 5 metres or more between them and some depth charges suspended in the “water”. Totally impractical to ever make, let alone store, but cool to fantasize aboutNow that would be a huge amount of resin to pour………the dio would be about two metres deep……
Great idea to be honest…..could be probably be done in 1/350, not in 1/72 though :tongue-out3: By the way, 5 metres is a bit much isn’t it? Crush depth on a type VII works out at about 3.5 metres?I actually had the idea when I was helping man a stand at a model convention, held in a typical convention hall with ceilings anywhere between 5 and 10 m high. I'm with Gary, I'd go 45 tooLooks like the Type 45 Destroyer radar golf ball, so either that or something based on the design.

Hmmmm,This is a new name to me for Scale models - I'd previously only seen their 'eggplanes' ,
but on their Facebook page......................
..........and of much more interest to me:
Their only scale ship & an unusual choice - a French frigate! - On their website it says full hull/waterline & PE included - Hannants have it in their catalogue, but no stock
Dave
Wot? with sails n'all?Hmmmm,
That ship does look good,BUT a "Frigate"?!!.... Surely not, well, not in my eyes anyway..,. Looks more like a Spaceship to me!!
Bring back PROPER looking Warships I say :smiling3:
