Spots on the Internet (2022)

Yep, I get that Jakko, but that was really in the realm of large country houses etc. Also, at that time the galvanised tin ware would be out of period because the galvanic process was invent around the same time as the lawn mower and wouldn’t be wide spread until the eighteen fifties ;)
Like everything, it pays to look into the use of items in dioramas if you want to avoid period anomalies.

My maternal grandfather - a very keen gardener used to use a traditional scythe to cut grass on a steep bank behind his house - it was too steep for his motor mower! I've seen them used to clear overgrown nettle patches, that were too tall for a motor mower! All of the items would be found in a gardeners hut - galvanising was invented in 1836, so any period after then. The mower only became common with the rise of home ownership by the middle class - the poor didn't have any garden grass to cut & the rich paid the poor to cut theirs! Probably the latest invention would be the watering can, with a rose ( sprinkler ) - 1886

I love the look of that "Lang" :)
Got a couple StuGs, but not a Lang.... That one might just fill the void! ;)

I agree Dave I've used one to cut back very long grass, once you learn its easy to use, its all in the swing action.

And who doesn't like a bit of swinging action :tears-of-joy:

I actually have a scythe but not used it for years, prefer the weed whacker.
As for planting poles and busting rocks I do quite well with 4lb lump hammer.
Let's get back on topic shall we.

Will look nice propped up next to a haystack with the pitch fork concealing a Wespe or Stug.

Cheers,
Richard
John, was it because I mentioned a Stug? :tears-of-joy:

Cheers,
Richard

Yes, that's it - only the midships waterline section ( 600mm ) in 1/35 - interesting!

On the ICM website - another US truck variation

Playing mix & match with the sprues.............

I wish it were a waterline model - (or with an option to so make ) - full hull just doesn't do it for me! Seems to restrict many options that I find more interesting

Hobby 2000 are releasing the Cyber-Hobby/Dragon 1/32 Bf109 E3/4/7 kits. For those like me who missed them the first time around this is great :smiling3:

There is always the razor saw...

The Essential Emil........one of my favs. and the epitome of the Bf 109 series.......Glad to see you finally got one Alan. I will be looking for a build thread on this one when the time comes.

I was puzzled by that comment as well, as the box top shows a waterline model without bow or stern.

New film being released about Operation Carthage. The Mosquito raid on Copenhagen, Denmark. Hope they do it in subtitles. But i really wanna see it.

From MiniArt - another iteration of their cargo trailer.................
