Supermarine Walrus Mk I, Airfix, 1/48

Thank you.
I think this was every bit as good a model as the Tamiya Swordfish. It really is a good build.

Very nice Ian. The Walrus, definitely built for a purpose rather than looks, which means I like it even more.

I'm with the guys there too, Ian. A very nicely done kit and an even better paint job!!! Now tell the truth...When you finished it and took the pics, were you singing out loud, "Coo, Coo, Ca-choo"!!!???......

Prost

Function over form is often a winner.

Hi Joe you been off flying around again. been a while.
Thank you for the kind words. The rigging was not that bad... ran out of wire, trashed TWO pair of cutters... only had piano wire :/

Thanks Dave.

A bit late on seeing this one Ian a great build and nice paintwork. You've done a fine job on the rigging!!

Yep, working flat out Ian. Hoping to get back to the bench soon.

Nice Walrus Ian, very well done. Looks a nice kit with good fitting and detail. If Airfix was quicker in releasing the 1/48 kit I wouldn't have slaved over the Matchbox 1/72 and catapult.

Cheers,
Richard aka Wabble
