After the glue and paint problem I carried on .

Using this camo pattern .

I've come up with this.

Don't want it very pronounced . Apart from the streak on the front armour plate I'm more than pleased. Not bothered by the missed paint on the wheels either, they can be covered by street debris.
The reason for the white on the hull will become apparent later.

Varnished with AK 3RD Gen.

Testes the spray after mixing on a sheet of white printer paper as recommended by David Lovell. A couple of light passes were made.

Drying now over night by a heater , should start the weathering tomorrow.

Thanks for looking in.

Looks good to me John. Glad the airbrush issue is sorted. Things like that can be very frustrating.

Today haven given the varnish over night to dry I set too on the weathering.

These were in a box of paints belonging to my late father, so this was the first time since 1970 they have been used. Think or hope he would be pleased to see them in use again.

Having put a spot of paint on a piece of cardboard as seems the correct way I set off.

Back removed for internal shot.

slight rust along the base and some streaks from the tarpaulin clips

How on earth 4 crew members got inside that back section ! as they normally had a 5 man crew.

Thanks for looking in .

Looking very good John. I would think the other crew would be handing in ammo?

Thanks .Could well be Tim, in many photos of them in action they appeared to be in groups with ammo being loaded in.

Top Job Dude 2!!! This is turning out really nice Brother. The fifth guy in the crew was the driver and most of the time, he did just that. Of course, he could also help load ammo or would be doing maintenance on the thang!!! PM a bit later....

Prost

You're lucky the tops came off those oil paints John. None of my old paints are usable although they feel quite squashy, I can't get the tops off the tubes!
