Cheers Steve, It's something I've been practicing with the last few builds and is my best high gloss result so far.

I wish I could get that kind of finish on my models, do you use some kind of polish on the gloss coat to finish it off to that high standard?

Andy.

The pics above are before polishing, but yes it will have a polish at the end of the build.

Had a better look this morning. That paint job really does look very good indeed.

Cheers guys. :)

Started putting it together yesterday.

Then the problems started when I tried to fit the cowl.

I can only assume that the internal headlight piece that connects to the frame isn't correctly located within the cowl. There's nothing else for it, it's going to have to come apart. I've ordered some debonder from Amazon, not sure what effect this will have on the paint so might end up having to strip it all and start again. :(

That’s a real blow Bob. Sure you’ll sort it out though, because this is looking good enough to ride....

Sorry to see this....... We have all had oh sh.t moments ;-) - I'm sure you'll sort it !

Cheers guys. :)

I managed to get it apart with minimal damage and have stripped the paint off the cowl and light clusters. Just priming now and will get the top coat on later.
