
If the cool pix has a macro setting (usually identified by a flower icon) try that Paul. It will increase depth of field and allow you to get in a bit closer. Portrait mode (head icon) is usually trying to set the camera up for a shallow depth of field to blur the background behind the subject. It’s not really for close ups.Hong, thank you.
