Its close Trey and is as the illustrated photos. Some lead will have to be added to square her up a little i have no doubt. We will see soon i guess.

There is a picture manual, a building manual a construction drawing and another construction drawing with a wiring schematic luckily.

Thats some comprehensive documentation mate, lucky indeed.

That last lot of photos looks like the terminal boards i use to work on ... spagetti junction or what ?

Andy, a question please?

You say fix the deck down, is there some sort of method to remove the deck to allow access to all the servos ect, yet still keep the model watertight? Or are there access panels / hatch covers cleverly positioned later in the build for this purpose?

You guessed right Ron. There are inspection hatches that have a lip of roughly 1 inch around them. i believe this serves 2 purposes, one its stops water entering into the gubins and two it doubles as a securing collar that holds the bridge etc in position. All will be revealed, to be honest mate im not to sure myself yet until i build the bridge. It is looking that thats the way of things to me at the moment.

Im as much as a boat numpty as you are Ron, as you know this is my first and im finding things out as i go along. If you had asked me what a kort was a few weeks ago id have said its was a wimwam for a ducks bridle lol

Well i did a tidy up on those cables and then put the radio together and tried things out. I had a few problems with dill switches and links in some parts that needed cutting or setting for the thing to work.

So after all that tidying up i had to cut all the ties and retrace the wiring to make sure i hadnt made a boob. Then i purchaes some stick on hooks from Wilkos and redid the loom again. Everything working correctly now i fixed on the upper deck. Ron - this should answer your question on inspection hatches.

Thanks Ron. Its not easy wiring these things and doing a tidy job when the leads you are working with are all pre made and fixed lengths. All you can to is undo all the crossovers and tangles and then lose the slack best you can. There are several y- leads in there to and they have loads of slack to lose.

Well i love Christmas and everything about it but its one day when i cant say im off to the workshop.... all day i was wanting to get in there but thought better of it. I was going to use the good will to all men bit but i didnt think it would wash lol.

So i got up really early this morning and put a few hours in before we went to the pub for Boxing Day Dinner. Another Christmas Dinner, nothing wrong with that. After Dinner i sat around a while with the family and then got back to it.

I fitted the forecastle deck this morning. Quite a tricky bit of work... i had to sand it to fit exact and then fit the anchor tubes at the same time as waterproofing the joints and glueing down the deck. The tubes had to be angled and then flushed with the top of the deck.

Todays job was to finish off the forecastle. First i had to cut out and make fit the Bow rail and then add the scuffers or hawses, lol im not sure what is what even now.

Got on well today, managed to complete the hull work and its now ready for preping to paint. I fitted the Stringers and buffer rails along with the front buffer, stabalizers and portholes (no glass at this stage), next ill key the hull and rails and then add a coat or two of primer.
