Cheers Colin. I couldnt find what they sent with the kit but i got just the thing in the work shop for the job.\ said:aha we have red stuff![]()
Looks very smooth Andy, just shows preparation is the important part eh?.
You've probably already got this sussed but a mate of mine who built boats quite a bit used to put some of those cheap felt sticky pads on the stand/cradle (whatever its called) when he tipped it up the right way to stop the paint being damaged or sticking to the stand/cradle if not fully cured for any reason.
He used to swear by them and said they were better than the rubber/soft plastic type pads you sometimes get issued with the boat kit.
Hi Andy, what paint did you use for the red? cheers Derek\ said:Thanks Derek. Im not sure what to use on a boat that is going in the water.Andy
Derek, the red is made by Spectra a specialist fuel proof paint for models, the black will be by Flair and again with the same proofing. It doesnt mention anything about requiring a varnish afterwards and does show a boat on the lable.\ said:Hi Andy, what paint did you use for the red? cheers Derek
Hi Andy, Not familiar with these paints I'm afraid, but as you say they are probably water resistant anyway.
