Sold the House. Got the flat. Money in the bank for the rest of our years. Moved in. Not bad from 6 weeks deciding to move to completing the deal in the Royal Court.

3rd floor flat. Overlooks town (St Helier). Two bedrooms one now bedroom/model room !

Down on the edge of the harbour. Lots of activity. A good number of nice eating holes. Nice walks on the harbour walls. Lots happening around the 2 marinas. 600 yds from the hospital joke I hope.

So now down to model making. Thanks to Colin CDW (Gritcolin) for nice email on concern due to absence. Thanks Colin.

So all is well & raring to have a go at this Lysander.

Laurie

Hi Laurie,

I was just yesterday wondering where you had gotten to. I assumed that you where still all packed down and all that.

Sounds rather a nice place, and being a nosy ol git, feel free to post a couple of photos.

Good to hear from you again.

Thanks to you all that is very nice. Been hell for the last few weeks having to pack up & move in such a short time. Cannot complain as the deal was so quick but certainly a lot of pressure especially as you would realize if you had seen the rubbish collected in the attic.

Now a little time is required to mend some battle damage to my models. Thought I had packed them well but no.

Bonus here moved in over a week ago (out of temporary accommodation) & despite the cold weather not turned a heater on yet. The insulation is incredible.

Laurie

Great to see you back here Laurie. Look forward to your new production line opening soon!

Hi Laurie,

Welcome back Sir, as Tony said, your new place sounds great, any chance of some aerial photos of the surrounding area (I love seeing different places), also looking forward to seeing how the new place inspires you...

Take care...

Andy...

Hi Laurie,

That's wonderful news that you've got a practical place and all moved in; I know what it's like from moving twice just a few & a couple months back, and I can comprehend everything you said, the detritus in the attic, models moving (yup!)... Good news that everything seems to have gone well.

Regards, John

Welcome back Auld Yin :) :)

Glad it's all over and done, moving house is both physically and mentally draining and its nice that you've got everything sorted and can sit back and relax.

Andy mentioned ariel photos so i had a quick visit to Flashearth.com and got the general idea of your surroundings, it looks, as you would imagine, slightly industrious being close to docks and piers but if you look closer at the area there's plenty of greenery and what look to be peaceful walking areas scattered around, and lots of places to pass an hour or two just staring at the sea snd watching the boats and ships drift around ..... it would suit me :)

Great to hear you had a quick and successful move, Laurie! Sounds nice where you are :)

So you are in clover. I experienced that two years ago when we sold our multiple-flood-prone house at a good price and found our present ideal bungalow in just the right place, all in 9 months. Lucky or what!
