So here we go again!!
My entry for this GB is most definitely the smallest aircraft I've built to date!!......

Some really tiny bits for the motor there! There's not a LOT of detail, but some nice touches....

The instructions are very rudimentary.....

.... so that's it. I'm waiting for some varnish for my King Tiger, and some Primer for the Beaufort,SO.... I'm making a start on this one this afternoon :smiling3: ......
(A special shout to Karl for so kindly sending this to me,and also,if you read this mate,I hope things are ok family wise ;) )

Definitely a lot of tiny parts. The box art looks almost cartoonist. Eduard kits are generally pretty good.

Ha!!.... funny you should say that Jim,Rach asked why I was starting a "Childish" kit! :tears-of-joy:
Despite the box art though, it's not actually that bad, although definitely nowhere near what Eduard produce these days, the instructions say "2013", which was a surprise to me I must admit, thought it was much older!!;).

Lovely choice andy , looks a good kit. Looking at the parts and plastic colour i’d say it was about the same age as my Eduard Yak 3 . Pretty early offerings from Eduard , not too many parts but well moulded , has this got no locating pins too like mine?

Hi Tony,
The plastic is mid to dark grey, and kind of brittle, but not too bad :thumb2: ,
As for location points, there are a few.... but to be honest,so far, I've sanded them away as they're more of a hindrance than a help!!:tears-of-joy:

Andy

Time to welcome you to mine and Karl's GB, now I have got yours out of the way! ;)

It is small. Length wise it is the same as 1/72 109, albeit the wingspan is much wider.

Looking forward to seeing you work your magic on this!

Nice one Andy, good luck with your build :thumb2:

Front seat please :smiling3:

Yes,it is bordering on a 1/72 build!! :flushed: ... not sure about me working my "magic" on it mind, more like my... "Ham fisted incompetence" :tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

Thanks Geoff, you're bang in there mate... although that's not necessarily a good thing!! ;):tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

Interesting Andy. Not sure how many engine parts will be seen under that cowling. Great little aircraft though.

Spot on there Birthday boy :thumb2: ..
... answer is.....next to none of it,as you shall shortly see!!
Thanks though,it does appear to be quite a cute, although chunky, plane :)

... so then, there's not been massive progress, but, because I'm waiting for a detail set to arrive,I can't even begin the cockpit type stuff :flushed:,
So I've concentrated on the wings...
IMG20231001182937.jpg
... and the motor...
IMG20231001165136.jpg
You won't see ANY of that, unless you look very closely, but I thought I'd do it anyway!! ... and here it is inside the cowling..
IMG20231001181354.jpg
... see?!!... a waste of time really, but at least SOMETHING'S there!!
Tidied up some other bits, but that's it for now :hugging-face:,
Not much I know, but it is a start!!

...... Blimey, has it been a month already?!! :dizzy:
..... well,as my Beaufort is pretty much finished,(more of that in "finished aircraft" section later), it's time to pick up this one again and get cracking :tongue-out2:,so, look out for an update later this evening :thumb2:....

Thread owner
.... Well... Don't have much to report ,
.... But I've added some small bits, some so small you probably can't see them!! :flushed:
... Tis a tiny plane .. a bit of a difference from my latest effort!!
IMG20231101175545.jpg
... Should be fun this.. no mask,no pilot and no skills!!:tongue-out2:
... AND ...

Thread owner
..... I've done some stuff.. especially the little exhaust ports,we're tricky!
For a a 1/48 kit, it's SO tiny,that it feels like a 1/72!! :astonished:
I bought this...
IMG20231102095643.jpg
... If I'd known just how little you'll actually see,I wouldn't even have bothered!! However,as I have bought them, I'm going to use them...
IMG20231103181729.jpg
I've done more on the fuselage bits, but the pictures are rubbish... hopefully I'll get more progress in tomorrow. :)

Looking good Andy. Must try those Quinta things myself one day. They seem a cut above flat etch.

They most definitely are.... the detail is awesome, and they're SO easy to attach... it almost feels like it's cheating!!
