Scale Model Shop

thinking of getting this

Wow, lovely looking model, but phew, a grand or near as damn it!
I sometimes watch the RC YT channels where they have full building/construction sites set up with diggers, excavators, lorries, dumper trucks, forklifts, cranes, etc, plus the military ones with tanks, jeeps, all sorts of bridge laying vehicles and recovery vehicles, etc. They all look awesome.
My local model shop does RC stuff as well as scale models and he has some bigger stuff too!
One of my first ever jobs (Builders Merchants) I used to drive a forklift, and have always wanted a decent scale model RC one......one day I'll treat myself.... Lol.
Keep us updated if you get it.... pics would be good... (y);)

i need to seriously think about it as need another one to be on tow so in reality would be nearer £1600 for both luckily i'm single lol so only need to explain to myself 🤣

I have nearly completed the four Austin Seven models I started over three years ago. Total cost for materials and machinery will exceed £2000. If I had known four years ago what it would cost me, would I have still done it? You bet!!!
Go for it!

Very expensive but you only live once lol, I'm a sucker for workhorse/tool/heavy duty vehicles so would love to see someone build it. Better start eating bread and water this month 😅 cheers

The wife of a good friend of mine calls hobby spending “Sanity money”. It gives you joy in what can sometimes be a miserable world, keeping you sane. If you can afford it, then just pull the trigger. As long as it doesn’t mean you have to go without things like food or heating where’s the problem? After all, the only real use for money is to buy things. It doesn’t look pretty, it doesn’t smell nice, and it tastes awful. Those that seek more and more of it, or hoard it against some mythical future catastrophe are never truly happy are they…..so don’t join them 🙀

This is how I explain running an expensive Canon A3+ inkjet photo printer

It costs the sort of money you would only ever spend on a hobby
