Hidden talents there young Andy.
Love the way you find items to use like the electric junction box. As for cutting that you have done well, normally the most brittle hard plastic to work with.Impressive stuff .

Love to Rach.
Thanks John,
Just trying to make the most of anything to hand that may suit:thinking:,you`re right about the back boxes and stuff being tricky to cut...... you need a good, high toothed hacksaw blade and plenty of patience:thumb2:,
Andy,(Rach says "Hi" back to you and Christine:blow-kiss-2:).

Just a brief update.........
Not a lot to see,but as usual...... it took a while!! :rolling:
I`ve added some peripherals and bulked out the base of the "Yoke".........
IMG20201125163837.jpg
The handles are left overs from a Tamiya StuG III,the vents above the handles are made from a cut in half Stowage box which i then cut and filed down, the Yoke was framed with cut plasticard which was then filled with "Greenstuff",the pivoting lug is a cut down Rawl plug..... 8mm because the trailer base has an 8mm recess for it!! ;)
The other parts are just cut down electrical packing items or left over bits from previous builds. It all looks a bit messy there, and here it is with primer....
IMG20201125174303.jpg
These pics show the areas that required clean up.........
IMG20201125174411.jpg
Several places as you can see, here it is "Full On" so to speak..........
IMG20201125174523.jpg
Again,it`s a poor pic,but you get the idea,it`s now been cleaned up an had a coat of OD,i have to say i`m pleased with the outcome so far,but now i have to fit the reflector and build up the Light`s internal gubbin`s,(hence painting it OD already). :surprised:
It`s starting to look the part now..... Honest!!!
Thanks for looking in,and as always, all thoughts, hints and tips welcomed!
Andy

As a fellow scavenger of all things electrical and plumbing related I applaud your imagination. This is coming on a treat....More Green please.

John

P.S. Good to see you have primed your thumb for further painting

I don't think that shade does a thing for you............but the priming looks good on the work that you have done so far.
Have you tried fitting it to the trailer yet? :thumb2: Rick H.

That was a very enjoyable catch up with this superb bit of scratchery, very impressive Andy

ALRIGHTY THEN ..........
Here`s me relenting to the curiosity of Rick......................,(ok,and also prematurely airing my exploits at the same time:smiling4:!),
A few pics of the two components married together, still lots to do,especially where the Light Tub itself is concerned(I.E. Adding the reflector, fitting the LED and then making the internal Gubbins that it needs) ,but it`s also a useful exercise to garnering YOUR thoughts on how it`s going so far,and how it could be improved.:rolling:...... Just a single, modest pic.......
IMG20201127173246.jpg
There it is in the Vertical position, face on !....... Oh,go on then..... here`s the sides,(If a circular object can have sides?:tears-of-joy:)......
IMG20201127173306.jpg
IMG20201127173332.jpg
And just to prove it actually swivels.......
IMG20201127173126.jpg
I`m quite pleased so far,and Rach reckons it almost looks like a bought kit...... but then, she IS my wife,so she would say that eh?!!!
Thanks for looking in as always,
Andy
