Here is my completed Spitfire, and my first attempt at full weathering of a model.
I'm not totally unhappy with the result, and have learned a lot in the process.
I didn't do a build thread, just in case I cocked it up completely :smiling3:
C&C welcome.
Cheers
Garry

Wow John, you are too kind Sir, thank you.

Nice job Gary. I do like a weathered bird, but as you know, it's something that takes quite a bit of practice. Sometimes I think I've got it right, other times I know I haven't !

Looks good Garry. Soot streaming from the guns is effective.

Very nice, the Tamiya kit just falls together doesn't it!

Tell me about it Colin, I have been on a steep learning curve.

Very nice work Gary, you seem to be getting the hang of weathering, so easy to go over the top with it. A little is often enough

Thank you so much Ian, as this is my first attempt at full weathering I have no idea what just enough, or too much, really is. Or is it just in the eye of the beholder?
Honestly does this look a little OTT to you?
Cheers

Like you say It's in the eye of the beholder, a nice sunny summer afternoon, then its over the top, a wet winters day landing on a muddy grass strip then maybe not enough. You see were I'm going? You've done a great job for the first time. it will come with experience. I'm still learning the fine art of weathering.

Looks good to me Garry! That Merlin must have more oil leaks than my Triumph!
