I went to the IPMS 08 Open here in Sweden, and took home 2 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze medal. If that wasn't enough. I also was very surprise after winning two special prizes. 1. a Peterbelt Truck and the mother of all prizes...A 1/6 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.B armor tank. Talk about flabbergasted. My first thought when I walked up to recive it, I the hell am I going to get it home? :) I took the wife and kid with me and believe me there was no room in the car, if you include my seven models. Well, that is another story all together. But seriously, I've never built a WWII tank, let alone in scale 1/6...Ha Ha Ha... To make things even stressful, the whole audience wants to see it done by the next IPMS, which will be next year....oopps. I don't think so. ;)

Just thought I'd share.

nice going charles. What did you win with. Any pics would be appreciated. Come on...reveal.

Well done! That's some big box! You & Polux ( Pink Panther ) should get together as he's building the same kit ;)

Cheers

Thanks gents. Well it is my first WW II tank to be precis. I have only built modern soft skins. I think the tank is going to be sold or built but I do not have the room to start.

Hi Charles congratulations!!

If you allows me to give an advice... I would construct it... Your skills have made you win the medals and in consequence the kits, I believe that it is important to follow the way. And some people expect to see your result the next year, and seeing all his kits it will be fantastic, though it is the first time... and always there must be the first time. I advise you not lose this opportunity, and create me ... it does not seem in anything to a conventional kit, not alone for the size, that initially it is an inconvenience.

Best regards

Polux

Outstanding work!

Well done and extremely deserved! Gob smacking detail.

it'll be interesting to see what you make of the big Panzer II!

Again, well done Charles

cheers

Thank you for your advice and opinion. I will consider them carefully. Again, it still boils down to space. I need an entire kitchen table to start with let alone a place to keep it when it is done. I have a small closet for my modeling space.
