What's on the Bench? 2021

Can only imagine that leather armour took some time as it turned out beautifully. Well done.

Andrew
Hi Andrew. Yep, the armour was about five passes of various related colours. Took around four to five hours all told. Glad you like it though.

Those “test” figures look really good Mark. The shading and highlights on the drapery is excellent. Well worth finishing now!

Coming on nicely Mark. Well done so far!

Thanks guys, haven't done any highlights yet just a thin see through based colour over grey primer then a few washes to darken them up.really enjoying experimenting, total see what people get out of painting figures:thumb2:

I know this is all sorts of wrong on many levels but what the hey ?

Screwed the 88mm bogies on for convenience and then it kind of went from there...

Looks good to me. Prime movers were easy targets and not too plentiful, so whatever came to hand was used.

I'm with Paul, not a thing wrong with that at all.........actually a very interesting approach. :thumb2: Rick H.

As has been said: if the usual vehicle isn’t available for some reason, you’d hook that valuable gun up to anything that can tow it if it needs to move ASAP. It might be an unusual combination, but well within the Sd.Kfz. 7’s capability, certainly on a road.

I agree nothing wrong, any thing that would pull that weight would have been used. Nice lighting in the photo Dan.

Morn Dude 2,

A new mat would be a good start.................................................................PM later.

Oh....he's back....I hope you can get this one to the "paint" stage Sir! ;) Love the Hetzer, one of my favs. Will follow along and see how it's done in Deutchland! :thumb2:
Rick H.

Hey Rick, it's great to be flying high again...It'll reach the spray booth because I am about to order a new one. The old cardboard box isn't cutting it anymore! It's done the same here as anywhere else Buddy. I had to make a few scratchies for it so I can finally get it together without going too crazy,

An etch guard for the sighting scope and new skirts too. Here's why,

The kit ones are way too thick for the Hetzer. I'll post a pic before she hits the booth next week when I get the new one. I've been on a spending spree too because the show in Holland, in October, has been cancelled again...................I'm having terrible Friul withdrawal symptoms!!!...............But found a cure.....................

Dude 1 .This talk of a spending spree oh dear , good job you've just installed that new shelving. I new there was an motive behind this :smiling3:

As to the matt, well was new, at one point !:smiling3: but as we do I tried to keep it clean and for cutting on only, so used an old mat , not as big , to actually paint on.As you can see it doesn't work.

Andrew, Allen, Thanks, it's a Dragon Panzer IV 70 from the 90's early 2000's.
Good to see you back at the bench.
John Race with a tidy (empty) bench? Whatever next?

Well,Here`s a broadside from me!!:dizzy:
I was getting a bit of "repetitive paint syndrome" going on recently, FAR too much GREEN being used!,(Sorry John!!),
SO,i decided to lighten things up a little,as well as changing to a different subject:thumb2:
,
COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone, but having seen Tim`s stuff recently,it`s certainly got my juices flowing......
..... my Daughter bought me these for last Christmas.... and i`ve wanted to try them ever since:smiling4:,I have absolutely no idea of how to go about them.... but here`s my progress so far.....
IMG20210906183831.jpg
I don`t really know what i`m doing yet,so just having a go at one......

I`ve actually put some Blue down, and the base Tyre`s colours.... I thought i`d brush paint this,it`s gone kinda OK,but we`ll have to see!!
So then,All you proper Warhammer painters please accept my apologies, but it makes a pleasant change for me!!:rolling:
Andy..... (Helmet at the ready!!)

A nice change, I must say I've been eyeing up a few resin figures after seeing the work of a few of the figure guys as well.

Interesting, we’ll get you over to the small dark side one day…..this is where it starts :tongue-out3:

Well,thank you guys!!......
It would appear that this isn`t a favoured subject,(Something that i was more than expecting!!),
I`ve not done much that shows..... but it`s coming along quite nicely IMHO !!.....the destructions are vague, and the colour application even more so.... but here we are are currently......

Basic paints, with a tentative effort for high lights,a long way to go....but i have to say that i`m loving these Citadel paints:cool:.....
.... They`re giving a superb finish..... so any faults that happen in the final finish will be down to my meagre efforts!!:tears-of-joy:!!
Rather enjoyable this is!!
