I'm not into figures but I very much like to paint something like that one day, interesting subjects :thumb2:
Do they come with the bases or did you made these yourself? Have fun painting, cheers

This is how they come, Steven, made up and glued to bases. I cut them off, 'add' to the original base, then put pins up the feet to mount them securely back on top.

Getting towards the end of my stalled 263 armoured car shelf Queen, so on to the next thing……
I’ve Zenitel primed some adventurers for my Frostgrave set up..

……and the same on some spear armed Lawn ornaments for my Oathmark armies….

Both of these are 28mm North Star multipart plastic figures. They are made from a mix and match set of parts, giving many variations on a basic theme. The only addition I’ve made out of the box is the arrow on the archer. He looked weird without one so I added one from suitably sized brass pin wire.

As always, any questions fire away…..

Tim - mould lines (!) What tools do you use for their removal?
Hi Paul
i mainly use a Scalpel fitted with a number 15A blade, and sometimes some 400 grit wet and dry. The blade is a small curved one that can be used to scrape or cut. I prefer curved blades for scraping because you don’t get surface scratches. Takes about fifteen minutes a figure though….

Ta - as I suspected, no shortcuts!

They look very nice indeed. Looking forward to seeing these done!

Hi Everyone. Finally managed to get the camo scheme done. Bit of a toughie but pleased with the result. On with the weathering now.

Happy modelling .
That looks superb Steve :)
That "Jigsaw" type camo has to be one of the hardest to get to look "right".... And you've certainly more than achieved that mate!
A cracking result to be sure !!

Fraid not Paul…..it just takes what it takes. I usually start prep once I’ve started painting the previous bunch. Little and often gets the job done with minimum tediousness……

Sorry Steve, missed your fantastic Camo work…..that looks the dogs doodlies and no mistake.
