Wing Nut Wings (WNW) closed for good ?

This has been discussed for the last week over on another forum i frequent. There is some uncertainty over what it all means. Some people who know what is going on are saying it is indeed a very grim situation.

I have read a press release from them and it said it is temporary .
Also said that you can still place orders but they will not be sending out 'til the end of April at the earliest.

Keep calm and build something.

When one of their kits goes out of production, its price rockets. If the whole company shut down, imagine what would happen then !

Yeah, forget bog roll and dried pasta. Start stock-piling WNW kits!!!!! :smiling5:
BTW, I have two WNW SE5.as and I am thinking of selling one of em...
Cheers
Paul

The news is not good for those who enjoyed WNW's output, though may be rather rosier for those with a few of their kits in the stash.

It seems likely that they are gone for good.

“Guys we are closed for good I am sorry to say, the whole team was made redundant on Wednesday”, does not seem like good news at all.

Guess my Sopworth Camel kit just went up in price :smiling3:

I've never built one of their kits, but I understand them to be really very good. If WNW has indeed gone under I suspect you will have a good investment there :)

Cheers

Steve

Never built one myself either Steve. I was given the kit. The person who gave it to me has over 80 WNW kits in his stash. He's sitting on a gold mine at the moment.

You'd have thought Peter Jackson could have kept the company going. Obviously not the money in Hollywood there used to be. Sad.

Suprised at reading this " it's finished "
Only to read Dave's post that it's temporary , and just now confirmation posted by Tattoodpunk.
Talk about false news in the papers and on TV.

A lot of the staff may have been made redundant as stated in other posts and forums. This might not mean that it is over for the company. This is happening a lot at the moment with companies unable to pay staff while they shut temporarily

It does look grim. The staff member in the post I linked to said that they were closed for good and that the 'whole team' had been made redundant.
Let's hope not.
The website has not been updated for days.

The CEO, Richard, has been sacked and the staff redundant. Not furloughed but redundant....as in...not needed anymore. I'm sorry but that doesn't sound temporary to me.
