My pleasure Mark, anytime and you are most welcome. I take pics from every show I go to and post them up. I'm glad they inspired you and if you do ever get a chance to go to the show in Veldhoven, Holland, be like Nike, "Just Do It"!!!...........

PS, If you do go, your wallet and cards will NEVER speak to you again....................

I would have to drag my wallet kicking and screaming all the way there :smiling6:

Totally stunning stuff

That looks like it was an excellent show Allen.
Thank you for sharing the photos so we could all get a taste of the show.
The level of workmanship looked to be very high. (Even if they knew naff all about V2 rockets lol ).

No Nick, you were at the right show. On Friday, it wasn't too crowded, but on Saturday if was too many folks in the halls......

You're very welcome Ian! It was fantastic and sorry, but I have a tick for the V2 and it's details. It's funny what a little research can do when making a dio. In our German model magazine a while back was a beautifully done dio of a rest break after a battle in the Ardennes in January 1945. A panther G and 8 or 9 troops taking a break. Exquisite figure painting, scenery and snow on the ground. Absolutely perfect. The Panther G was also excellently finished and detailed in a worn off winter camo. After looking at it for 15 seconds, I realized that Hitler had invented a time machine back then. How could a Panther G, built in the beginning of March 1945 and not even approved by the weapons department, fight in the Battle of the Bulge in January 1945??? Had to be a time machine or an episode of The Twilight Zone I think....
Sorry, gone crazy again...........

That was some mistake to make. Even I know to check that the things being put together existed together in the real world. Mind you the way history is (not) being taught these days, in 20 years time Buzz lightyear would have been the first person on the moon.

You mean he wasn’t!!!

Great set of pictures by the way Allen. Such a huge variety of subjects, and all of exceptional quality.

Dude,
Wow thanks for taking the time to post all those pictures. There was some seriously good builds on show. It was also good to finally put a face to the name. Did you finance the whole show with everything you bought ;) . Again great photos take care mate.

Many thanks for taking the time to take and post all these photos. I have seen several photos and videos of the show over the last few days. It is clearly the best scale model show ever! The standard of models and imagination is second to none. A real inspiration to push the boundaries and get back to the bench.

Tim, Paul and Stevie,

It was my pleasure to post up the pics for this great forum and as I said earlier, I hope they will inspire and kick the Mojo up a notch or three. Glad you enjoyed them!!!.....

Paul, Yeah I'm the fat bearded guy, but I only financed about 1/4 of the show. Anton Financed about 1/8 of it and Fernando financed the rest of the show....

Stevie, you should put the SMC (Scale Model Challenge) on your to do list for October 2023. The SMC is held in the same location and is just as large and with the same amount of vendors too. At the SMC, one room behind the comp area is a flea market (boot sale) and that is the first place Fernando and I visit immediately after going inside. Deals on stuff like you wouldn't believe. Did you happen to see where the next WME is taking place and when???......

You are most welcome my friend. It will be a few days till I can get the museum pics posted though. Suffering from Mousitis in my right hand and Brain Farts from posting all of these here. Hope you two are well in downtown Ohio and it's not too hot now, like here.....

90s & humid but AC works just fine. Funny, back in the day never needed AC (car or house) in Bflo,, Hartford, or San Diego. Needed it in Hotlanta, but expected it there, now wouldn't want to be w/o it. Took over a thousand between me, my son & my cousin during our Euro trip to Belgium, Lux., France, & Germany.

My thumb needs a rest and thanks for the Truk Lagoon image and thanks for the 7hrs of inserting the photos. One day Allen, one day I'll try to make it to this show.

Cheers,
Richard

Just "Blown Away" by all the great models on display and so very well presented on the forum......Thanks so much Allen! :thumb2: :thumb2:

Richard and Rick, you are both very welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed them as much as I did taking them.

Richard, Calvin Tan was at the show, but I didn't see him anywhere. I would have said hello to him for you.......

Now you two go and hit the bench!!!................

Pity you didn't get to meet Calvin, Allen. He probably would have been hanging out in the figures section or out for a pint or two with figure painting friends after a long time caused by corvid. Would have been nice to say hello for me. Haven't seen him since the last Penang show.

I like the dios presented...very high quality and quantity. The last five to ten years have seen a major increase in the quality and standard of builds. I've sifted through some old MM magazines and you can see a marked difference in figures as well. I don't see the hobby declining...only the way it's marketed and demographic has changed. Were there any junior category displays?

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks for taking the time to post your great shots Allen, nice to be able to take me time taking it all in.
