Although didn't see them fly over my house as I was down the road at the IWM Duford watching them at the flying legends airshow but my 2 year old daughter enjoyed watching them from the garden.
Crickey Chris.. My Spitfire sighting seems a bit insignificant against that list. However it was the first time I have seen a Spitfire actually in flight so it will always be special. I cant believe how loud it sounded even when it was miles away.
Thats a VERY nice list chris!! You jammy git , fancy living next door to Duxford!! Well my poor report is an Emirates Airbus A 380 flew over on thursday , all 800 tons of it!!!(it looks so big and seems so slow ,its scary how it stays up there!!) and talk about co-incidence , just as I started typing this I heard an aircraft , so dashed outside thinking it might be something coming or going to the Waddington airshow which is on today . It turned out to be a Britten Norman Islander, not an airshow participant but an interesting spot nevertheless, cheers tony
I must admit it was one hell of a line up and I'm very lucky to live where I do. If it wasn't for moving here five years ago I may never have gotten back into modelling. I'm also very please for you Hawker as seeing a spit is something all is enthusiasts must. If any of you haven't been to flying legends I highly recommend it.
If you look on the BBMF site you can see all the times the aircraft are flying near you,, Cosford and Stafford seem to be listed a few times outside show times.
Hoping to get down to Duxford in August I need some more ref pics
