If I had that Inpact kit I think I would hid it away for a year or ten then sell it on evilbay. Should keep my in kits for a while....

Be interesting to know what such a kit could fetch?

You see, you guys are evil to me. Ive now bought two inpact kits from e-bay for something like a fiver each.

Im currently working in the Hawker Fury and to be honest its a nightmare. It goes togther well but the fit it poor. In all honesty its probably good for its day.

So, now I own an unopened flycather and you guys are telling me how awesome it is. Now, on that basis of this, and the Fury Im too scared to touch it for fear of killing it.

Bah Humbug to all of you

Penny, there are a few pointers in the link I posted about building the kit. They were considered good kits at the time, you'd need to put it next to something like one of the sixties vintage Airfix kits to see why. They don't go for much, you got a decent deal on yours, and I doubt they ever will!

Definitely build it,that's what kits are for.

        Cheers

        Steve

Penny , im with steve, build it ! thats what it was made for, im sure youll make a great job of it . Even the sixties airfix stuff can be a surprise too, speaking of which- my latest acquisition is the just out re-re-re-re-release (its been out loads of times before, its that old!!!!!) of the De Havilland DH88 comet, in the black magic markings. This kit is so old its got the pilots heads moulded in with the fuselage and no cockpit aperture at all!!! Still its a beautiful machine and with a bit of bashing and scratching should look lovely in its shiny black and gold scheme. Cheers tony

Oh A DH88 now that was a nice machine. Was it not red in the earlier releases? Does look hansom in Black.

Penny, You build it! Thats what you brought it for after all. I just think that I, Me, myself would hang onto it. I got plenty of other stuff to keep me out of mischeif, (and pocket).

What scale is that BR-52? Being Hobbyboss I'm assuming it looks very detailed?

It is 1/72 scale Stuart and it is going to be placed in a small diorama with these.

This will be impressive, over 2 feet of rail mounted stuff, look forward to seeing this one develop.

Saw a Dragon 1/35th Karl Gerat yesterday when picking the loco up for £40 secondhand and all that was missing was the figures. I was so tempted.... Have to look for some wagons to go with the loco but will be next year.

                        Tony..

                            Hi Scott,

Are you thinking of a dio with the BR52 and the Karl-Gerat in 1/35? I hope so 'cos that would be really something!

You jammy so and so Ian. I well remember building this years and years ago. Cannot remember what the fit was like but it does make a really nice model. The Monty figure was not bad either, hope it has stood the test of time.

Ian, Graham i have one of these in my stash and i have test fitted it out of curiosity and the parts fit together like a glove which is really surprising cos it's such an old kit and airfix to boot. Dave i think i might give a dio a try once i have all the bits i want it could be interesting.
