Just bought the other 2 Eduard 109s myself in 1/32 - the E1 and E3 (and really looking forward to them).
...But I thought I'd post this as something entirely different and to gauge what people think of this diorama plan.
I recently bought this Pyro 30's car from Ebay. The plan is to modify some GI figures and do a gangster scene. The Thompsons will get drum mags and a pistol grip on the front and of course the men will be suited and wearing hats. As for the car itself that will be riddled with bullet holes with a guy slumped in front of it. I may try to replicate the scene from The Godfather where Sonny gets shot at the toll booth. What do ya think?
Oooo, New Tooling, PE and a Jumo engine (it was the Jumo in the Stuka wasn't it?). You will have to give some info on this kit Ray, I have never done a Stuka except many years ago when the Airfix 1:24 first came out and I must have made a real mess of it. Been holding out for a good 1:48.
This looks like a nice Stuka, Graham if you are looking for a nice 1/48 Stuka try the Hasegawa range, they do an SG2 Russian Front, a Tank buster and if you are lucky there is a tropical Tamiya one floating around with the snake along the port side. Built two out of the three mentioned and the tank buster is in my stash.
Nice one Ray, I will look forwards to that. I must admit I rather fancy one of those but have more than enough on at the moment.
Andy; I have heard of the tropical Job and it does sound rather cool, Do you have a photo by any chance?
I got a little pack of goodies from Relish in the post today, A couple of conversion sets for Mosquitos. On is for the TR 33 Sea mossy the other for a "twin Highball". So I s'pose I better get hold of a couple of Mossies again!
Went into a model railway shop in Barnstable and had one of those jaw drop moments as sitting on a shelf was a Tamiya 1:35 Quad Gun Tractor, just what I needed for my conversion to a LRDG Ford truck. After lots of screaming and stamping of feet, Kate bought it me just to stop the embarrassment.......
I have never done a conversion at all really so as this will need a lot of hacking up and scratch building new parts, it will either be passable or a disaster. If passable, my LRDG/SAS dio will now consist of all three of the iconic vehicles used at the time. Need to work out the plastic card/strip I will need to do the conversion now. Life just gets more complicated each and every day ;-)
