Shocking, when they're all generated electronically. If they were still typeset you could understand a reluctance to correct them but it shouldn't take long to amend a pdf or dtp file.

Hi, Paul, The engine is a work of art, as usual. It looks even better under paint. Looking forward to the rest !

Thank you John, I still don't know if I will have the bonnet open yet, but thought I better add a little in case I do.

Next up is the cab. I have added a bit of wiring but it is only for effect. And some missing rivet detail to the bulkhead.

    I will revisit the dials.

I wanted the cab to look lived in but not overly dirty. Good old sweet wrappers for the leather effect on the seats.

" I have added a bit of wiring but it is only for effect." Only for effect? You mean it doesn't actually work? I'm shocked.

One nice touch with this kit is the louvres in the bonnet sides. They are nicely moulded allowing the openings to be seen on the inner face. The down side is the catches are moulded on, so I thought they could be improved a little.

One thing this kit does suffer from is huge ejector marks. Can anyone recommend a descent filler I bought some AK green stuff but it's useless. It either peels out of shallow fills, it doesn't go hard and it shrinks.

              Love that bonnet hinge Scottie.

For the ejector marks, could you glue in some punched discs?

I like the Humbrol filler. Sands well, sticks well.

Nick, that's what I normally do but these were not that deep so just decided to go for the filler.

I just use Plasto Paul. I hate the green stuff. Even the plasto does shrink a bit depending on how much you use but I just top up any shrinkage cracks with a liquid plastic putty and then sand.

Thanks Steve, I may give a tube of that a go. I used to use the squadron green stuff which was excellent then they changed the formula and it is a s bad as the AK stuff.

I have been working on the storage locker. had a root round in the bits box and put some clutter in. The missing panels will be added when nearly finished so I don't keep knocking them off.

the flatbed is the next step. There are four wheel chocs stored under the end of the bed. The kit ones were rather simplistic so I have replaced them. One has the chocs in place the other is empty as I will have them in place under the wheel later on. The empty one I have left a bit battered due to wear and tear.
