I've acquired these 'kits'? 'figures'? from AliExpress to crew my growing collection of AFV's from 'Girls und Panzer', I have no real experience of working on resin figures, so what would be your best piece of advice on construction and painting? They are 1/35 and stand at around 50mm

I’ve done a couple of figures painting SBSs on here a while back, so you could look those up. They were for figures a little smaller than 1/35, but the techniques should transfer easily enough. There are quite a few good figure guys on here, so have a look around. Being resin, clean up should be easy, and a good wash in dilute dish soap will be useful. I have done a few resin figures, but apart from that I’ve not worked with it much. Apparently it doesn’t like some primers though, so it might be worth a good read up before you prime.

Cant offer any advice on the painting side Miko , I’m a rubbish figure painter , but the construction yes . Resin needs to be glued with CA and be careful not to create any dust you might breathe in its nasty stuff . My advice is to cut off the pouring blocks with a razor saw while wearing a mask and wet sand the stubs to minimise dust . Theres some amazing Resin and 3D printed stuff on Aliexpress ,at dirt cheap prices . Even though I cant paint them very well I’m so tempted to get something!
looking forward to seeing these .

Gasques’ book is OK, but there are better out there.
The Painting War series are good, giving much better colour mixing info.

This series….there are quite a few now.

This one is a better primer in my opinion, again it has colour mix info.

Failing that, have a look at YouTube. There are no end of good primers on there. Someone like Vince Ventruella will tick all the boxes you need.
